Several gold and antimony deposits(points)have been gradually discovered along the Au-Sb metallogenic belt in the south Bayan Har Mountains,Qinghai,in recent years by a number of geological surveys and researches.These findings show that this area is rich in Au-Sb resources.This study focuses on the Zhakailongba area,the middle section of the gold-bearing ore belt in the south Bayan Har Mountains where is favorable area of gold and antimony mineralization.According to existing area's geological mineral data,the paper identifies the research area's geological setting of ore-forming processes by filed survey and sampling analysis,that is combining with the researches on geochemical characteristics,orebody characteristics and so on.It makes a comprehensive analysis on stratum-magmatic rock-structure space-time screenwork and their mutual relation,and then summarizes research area's ore genesis,ore-controlling factors and prospecting direction.Result shows that,the research area has favourable area condition and geological background,its fault structure is developed,metamorphism is common,quartz veins are developed,and geological tectonic activities are multi-period.Mineralized bodies are mainly existed in the strata of the Triassic Qingshuihe Formation,gold mineralization is controlled by NW-trending fault zone.There are some cold ore body in altered broken zone and quartz vein,the mainly types of ore genesis are tectonic alteration rock and quartz vein.The ore-bearing fracture-altering zone is relatively stable along the strike.Comparing with Dachang gold deposit and Yazhaqu gold deposit,the preliminary prospecting results show that result area has good prospecting prospect,it can provide corresponding guidance to cold prospecting in research area and its periphery.
