GIS Supporting For Urban Agglomeration Health Monitoring Index Research And Application Demonstration

Resent years,urban agglomeration has been a new characteristic of urbanization in China,an important regional unit of China in global competition and international division of labor.While various urban diseases have seriously hampered the healthy development of urban agglomerations.At present,a comprehensive study of monitoring indicators in the context of urban agglomerations is scarce.To carry out comprehensive monitoring on the health of urban agglomerations,this paper constructs the urban health monitoring index system according to the policy guidance,the feature of urban agglomerations and the index construction principle.We compared lots of comprehensive evaluation methods,then selected the entire-array-polygon evaluation model which can evaluate the health of urban agglomerations as the comprehensive evaluation method.Combined with GIS data analysis and spatial visualization method,this paper carries out monitoring demonstration on three typical urban agglomerations including Yangtze River Delta,Pearl River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.The rationality of the method is verified by qualitative and quantitative comparison.And analyze and evaluate the health of typical urban agglomerations.The urban health monitoring index system studied and the comprehensive evaluation method can be used to scientifically evaluate the health of urban agglomerations.The results of the monitoring demonstration are that the comprehensive health index of Pearl River Delta is 0.508,and the Yangtze River Delta is 0.434,0.408 with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,typical urban agglomerations with low degree of healthy development.First-level indicators on urban agglomerations health ranks:social factors at first,accompanied with economic,the third is the population factor,and the fourth is the ecological,traffic factor at the end.Pearl River Delta performs as the healthy and healthy development of the core circle model,cities within the urban agglomerations balanced development.Yangtze River Delta,one core with multi-circle health development model has not yet formed;Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei core circle is not close enough.There is great difference between Hebei and Beijing-Tianjin,which restricts the healthy development of urban agglomerations.
