Andrias davidianus is a big primitive animal to China.After developing,the outside gill disappear and the lung breathe.,Andrias davidianus presents a transformation in body structure from aquatic vertebrate to terrestrial vertebrate,which can be of significant importance in scientific studies.Up till now,proteomical studies remain short.Lung is an important organ in living beings,which plays an indispensable part in breathe,material transportation and biological oxidation.Amphibians are in a transitional stage from aquatic animals to terrestrial animals.The study of their lung respiration patterns helps to understand the evolutionary process of vertebrate respiratory systems.Studying the role of the lungs in hunger-fighting from the perspective of proteomics contributes to enriching the understanding of lung function and understanding the hunger adaptation mechanism of animals.This project studies fasting lungs of Andrias davidianus through the technologies of dimensional electrophoresis,protein spectrum identification,isotope labeling,relative and absolute quantification.To supplement,data on fasting lung protein expression abundance has been integrated and analyzed through IPA software and relevant websites,and Andrias davidianus proteins are divided into two categories according to different physiological activities they participate and are listed as follow.(1)Proteins relating to material transportation.A total of 451 types of protein involved in material transportation were found,concerning amino acid and its derivatives transport,protein localization and transportation,transport of bases,nucleosides and nucleotides,DNA transport,RNA transport,lipid transport,sugar transport,vitamin and coenzyme transport,organic acid transport,ion transport,vesicle mediated transport.and other glucose metabolism related activities.237 proteins are known to be functioning in adjusting corresponding physiological activity signals,which include AMPK,Calcium,Cdc42 and so on..(2)Proteins relating to biological oxidation.113 different types of protein have been recognized in their direct roles in biological oxidation.Activities concerned are biological oxidation,redox,electron transport chain,hydrogen peroxide metabolism and superoxide metabolism.125 proteins function in adjusting corresponding physiological activity signals,which include AMPK,PI3K/Akt and PKA pathways.The corresponding protein function and software analysis showed that there were significant changes in the physiological activity and signal pathway activity in the lung of the fasting Andrias davidianus..The result shows that the protein expression activity of the fasting lungs has changed significantly with time.
