Objective to investigate the polymorphism on HLA-A locus of Xinjiang hotan natural longevous people and its assosiation with longevity.methods The study population were enrolled from 2000to2015 in Xinjiang Hotan Uyghur People, was divided into three groups, the longevity group144(the age of 90 or more natural longevity),the older age group 93(60-70 years old man in the same region).the control group 102(the man has natural death before the 70 years old in the same region but no blood relationship).HLA-A locus was typed with polymeras chain reaction-sequence specific primer(PCR-SSP)technique and comparative analyses were carried out among relevant alleles between the three groups.result The most common alleles were HLA-A*2,HLA-A*11,HLA-A*24 in the three groups.and in which, the frequency of HLA-A*11 in longevity group 0.171 were significantly higher than control group0.071(P<0.05),but no significant difference could be found when compared older age group(P>0.05),and no difference was found in other alleles between the three groups(P>0.05 for all).Association analysis alleles and longevity showed that HLA-A*11 allleles were positively(OR=2.231,P<0.05)correlated with longevity in the population.conclution HLA-A*11 gene is strongly assosiated with longevity,it might be the favorable gene of human longevity among the Uyghur people in XinJiang Khotan.
