Green development is the theme of the current era.Based on the study of traditional water resources efficiency, this paper defines the concept and connotation of the green efficiency of water resources.Based on data envelopment technology, the green efficiency of water resources was measured and compared with the results of economic efficiency of water resources and environmental efficiency of water resources.ESDA method was used to study spatial pattern;KDA method was used to study spatial evolution. The spatial weight matrix based on the spatial distance function is established to analyze the spatial spillover effect.Scientifically identify the spatial orientation mechanism of water resources efficiency.Based on the measurement of water resources efficiency, the original indicators have been improved, focusing on the development mechanism of the green efficiency of water resources, including social dimension effect indicators.Based on the results, the spatial heterogeneity was explored using the GWR model. The results of the study show that: the social dimensionality effect has a positive effect on the improvement of the overall utilization efficiency of water resources;the three utilization efficiencies of water resources all show a downward trend, and there are different degrees of fluctuations, the fluctuation of environmental efficiency of water resources is the greatest, and the green efficiency of water resources. The economic efficiency of water resources has the best stability;the relationship between the green efficiency of water resources and the level of economic development is not closely related;the green efficiency of water resources in developed economic regions is high, but the green efficiency of water resources in economically underdeveloped regions is also high, and the economic efficiency of water resources is high. The areas with high environmental efficiency in water resources and water resources are mostly distributed in the eastern coastal areas;the spatial correlation of the green efficiency of water resources is not obvious, and the degree of agglomeration is gradually weakened;there are obvious regional differences in the green efficiency of water resources within the study area during the past 15 years, and this difference gradually widens;the water resources utilization efficiency without considering the social dimensionality effect generates a biased estimate of the true utilization of water resources and misleads policy formulation;the water use efficiency in all three cases tend to decrease;nuclear density estimates indicate each water efficiency between regions, the distance gradually increased;the spatial auto-regression coefficients of water use efficiency existed in all three cases, indicating that there was a spatial spillover effect in the utilization efficiency of water resource.Theinfluence of Sihua on the efficiency of water resources was closely related to the level of economic development, following the distribution of synchronization and economic development trends;four modernizations efforts to influence the economic efficiency of water resources, greater environmental efficiency, less impact on water resources green efficiency efforts;four modernizations play a role in improving the impact of water efficiency, which, urbanization and agricultural modernization have great influence on the economic efficiency of water resources and environmental efficiency of water resources.Informatization and agricultural modernization have a greater influence on the green efficiency of water resources;research on the drivers of green efficiency of water resources in various regions has led to research results more targeted and persuasive, the policies formulated are more scientific.
