In order to evaluate the property of ionospheric sounding system and study the channel characters,the system simulation model and data processing are finished in this article,using the model of traveling ionospheric disturbance(TID)and ray tracing techniques,the characteristics of wave propagate in ionosphere with different sales TID have been studied.The simulation results can instruct the analysis of actual ionospheric sounding results.Firstly,in the simulation system,the pseudo-random binary code modulation is used as the modulation mode,the Watterson channel model is selected to simulate ionosphere channel,superheterodyne receiver and quadrature demodulation is adopted to gather data.Delay-Spread and Doppler-Spread function figures of high quality are gotten.The influences of radio propagation in the ionosphere are verified by the simulation result,and parameters for various modules are designed for optimum system performance.So the model can be used to direct the design and development of actual ionospheric sounding system.Secondly,this article uses international reference ionosphere as background and electron density distribution in TID of different sales have been acquired by numerical simulation.Under this circumstance,the wave paths have been gained with ray tracing techniques.The phase path,elevation of echo signal and the doppler shift during a TID cycle have been extracted,using these information,we can analyze TID's effect on the propagation of electromagnetic wave.Finally,the ionospheric parameters(group delay and doppler shift)acquire from ray tracing have been feed back to Watterson channel,and ionospheric sounding results in middle scale TID have been gotten by Simulink simulation model.The TID's effects on the propagation of electromagnetic wave have been verified via the comparison between the results.Taken together,this article has finished integrated ionospheric sounding system model by Simulink,the simulation results and data process also ave been showed.Simulate the TIDs through numerical simulation,by this mean,we can analyze TID's effect on the propagation of wave,find the physical cause behind the ionospheric phenomenon,and provide a reference for the analysis of ionospheric sounding results.
