The ionospheric oblique backscattering sounding system (IOBSS)'s function is to explore ionosphere in real-time, it is one of strong methods for researching the state of the ionosphere and the characteristics of the HF communication channel. The research groups of the ionosphere-lab have devoted themselves to design this radar and have obtained some moment progresses. In the process of designing the radar, the author has take on and has accomplished these tasks:1. Has developed the FPGA 's m-sequence and timing module, which is the important component of the radar.2. Has developed the antenna switch, which is used in T-R separate antenna system, also put forward the scheme of designing the switch for T-R community antenna system.3. Has modified the software of DSP and has realized the function of p-fdetection in series.4. Has organized the close-loop and open-loop experiments of the IOBSS and has got some important results which verify the success of the author's job.
