A Study On Maritime Strategies Development Of Contemporary China

The 21 st century is known as the Century of the Sea.With the rising awareness of the ocean in every country,the exploration and the utilization of the ocean have become the focus of the international attention.Almost every country in the world have increased their attention to the sea to various degrees.More and more developed and developing countries have incorporated the oceans into their own strategies for both economic and social development.China is a typical sea-land complex country with 3 million square kilometers of blue land and 18,000 kilometers of narrow coastline.Therefore,China has huge national security and economic interests in the ocean.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949,China's maritime strategy has steered the country's gradual progress from the past to “mainland” from the initial safeguarding of the territorial sovereignty and national unity of the nation's oceans,breaking the embargo imposed by imperialist countries,and implementing the policy of reform and opening-up.From the strategy of light sea to the later strategy of land and ocean planning.With the deepening of reform and opening-up and the need for economic and social development,China has gradually strengthened its control of the oceans and incorporated the ocean into the overall situation of its national development strategy.Especially since the party's 18 th National Congress,the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping as its core has faced the new situation in the world's oceans and has proposed the great concept of “building a maritime power”.At the same time,it has proposed the construction of “Silk Road Economic Belt” and “21stCentury Maritime Silk Road”(abbreviated as the “One Belt and Road”)is the wisdom crystallization of the leaders of the Party and the country,an inevitable trend of national development,in line with the needs of the development of contemporary China's maritime strategy,and it also marks the contemporary China.The marine strategy has entered a new era.The Chinese Communist Party's marine strategy ideology is an important part of the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics.It is understood that the Party Central Committee's collective leadership summarizes and forms the regular understanding of the issues facing the country.This paper summarizes the basic characteristics of China's marine strategy through the combing of China's marine strategic thinking in different periods.This has a very important theoretical guiding role in the analysis and formulation of China's marine strategy,and it deals with territorial disputes and resource utilization in the surrounding maritime areas of China.The safety of the marine environment has important practical implications.Through researching and analyzing the main contents of contemporary China's marine strategy,we will understand the development trend of contemporary China's marine strategy to provide a strong impetus for China's rapid development,and at the same time,it will also help realize the strategic concept of “Maritime power”.
