In recent years,with the explosive growth in emerging areas such as mobile Internet,high-speed wireless communication devices have been developing towards the trend of functional,integrated,miniaturized and low cost,which are used in Internet of things and unmanned vehicle.The manufacturing process of three-dimensional connected devices are moving towards a much higher level.The production of traditional three-dimensional circuits is generally that attaching the metal to ceramic materials or polymers,which has some disadvantages such as limiting product size,inflexible and complex processing.Laser Direct Structuring(LDS)is a new three-dimensional circuit processing,which can project the pattern to the surface of the polymer material by using the laser technology,then take direct metallization for irradiated area,finally form pattern on the surface of polymer material.It can directly form metallization pattern on the surface of polymer material.However,the LDS materials exist many limitations in color and cost at present.Therefore,it has a great significance to develop a low cost,high performance and white LDS material.This paper is based on the theory of interaction between laser and polymers,laser and metals.The white LDS material was prepared with Copper Hydroxide Phosphate(Cu3(PO4)2),Nano Tin Dioxide(SnO2)and Polycarbonatem(PC),then the surface of modified plastic was treated by the laser(wavelength 1064 nm),finally,the irradiated sample was immersed in an electroless copper plating bath and deposition of copper achieved on the laser irradiation area.Main work of this article contains as follows:1.The modification effects of several metallic compounds with different kinds(Copper hydroxide phosphate,Copper chromite black,Zinc hydroxystannate and Tin dioxide)and different sizes(Micron-SnO2 and Nano-SnO2)as laser sensitive additives were studied.2.The color,cost and performance of materials are synthetically considered,the white LDS material was prepared with Copper Hydroxide Phosphate,Nano Tin Dioxide and Polycarbonatem in this paper.Through in-depth analysis of experiments,combined with XPS,EDS,SEM,Coating peeling test on experimental samples,the effects on the surface roughness and molecular structure are explored after 1064 nm laser irradiated.3.By changing the input current,pulse frequency,scanning speed,and scan spacing of the laser,we can research their effects on the modification and coating performance,and then determine the optimum conditions for laser surface treatment.
