Keteleeria.fortunei var.cyclolepis belongs to Keteleeria. It is an evergreen tree endemic to China and an ideal tree for mountain planting, timber forest and landscaping. In this study,in order to reveal the difference and discuss the relationship between K.fortunei var.cyclolepis young forest growth and soil physical and chemical properties, and microorganism quantity, young forest growth of K.fortunei var.cyclolepis from four provenance in two test bases and two soil physical and chemical properties and microbial quantity was analyzed. It will provide theoretical basis for cultivation and test base construction of K.fortunei var.cyclolepis.The main results are as follows:(1)There was no significant difference in the diameter and height of K.fortunei var.cyclolepis young forest from four provenances in the two test bases. The young forest diameter and height was the largest of Wangmo procenance in Laohuling test base, which was the largest of Longlin procenance in Daguishan test base. There was significant difference in seedling diameter and highly significant difference in height in longlin procenance.(2)There was great difference in soil physical and chemical properties, microorganism quantity between the two layers of the same provenance of the same test base. For example, there was significant or highly significant difference in soil bulk density, soil organic carbon, microbial biomass carbon content and nitrogen content from two soil layers of Bobai provenance in Laohuling test base. The soil organic carbon of two soil layers in Fujian province were significant in Daguishan test base.(3)There was also great difference in soil physical and chemical properties, microorganism quantity of the same layer between different provenances in the same test base. For example,in Laohuling test base, soil bulk density, organic carbon, total nitrogen, total phosphorus content in 0-20 cm soil layer of Fujian provenance was largest.in Daguishan test base, soil bulk density, organic carbon, organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorus content in 20-40 cm soil layer of Wangmo provenance was largest.(4)There was also great difference in soil physical and chemical properties, microorganism quantity of the same layer in the same provenance between different test bases. For example, there was significant or highly significant difference in soil organic carbon, total nitrogen, total phosphorus content, bulk density,pH value of 0-20 cm soil layer of Bobai provenance and Wangmo provenance between two test bases. And there was also significant difference in total phosphorus content of soil, the amount of carbon and pH of the soil in the 20-40 cm soil layer of Bobai provenance between two test bases.(5)In the 0-20 cm soil layer of Laohuling test base, the soil microbial biomass carbon content was highly significant negative correlation with the total phosphorus content,pH value was highly significant negative correlation with the total nitrogen content, but highly significant positive correlation with nitrogen and microbial biomass. While in the 20-40 cm soil layer of Laohuling test base, the soil density was positively correlated with the amount of microbial nitrogen. In the 0-20 cm soil layer of Daguishan test base, the soil pH value is positively correlated with organic carbon and total nitrogen content. The pH value was significantly negatively correlated with the volume weight in the 20-40 cm soil layer of Daguishan test base.In 20-40 cm soil layer of Laohuling test base, the young forest diameter and soil total nitrogen content had extremely significant positive correlation, young forest height and total phosphorus content had extremely significant positive correlation. There was highly significant positive correlation between the young forest diameter and carbon content of the soil microorganism and there was significant positive correlation between young forest height and the amount of carbon in the soil microbial biomass in 0-20 cm soil layer of Daguishan test base.
