With the construction of urbanization,many people have moved into cities.The economic level of the people has been continuously increasing,and the total number of motor vehicles has also increased,which has led to a substantial increase in urban transportation demand.However,the increase in the quantity of urban traffic roads has always been difficult to keep up with the growth rate of motor vehicles.The contradiction between traffic supply and demand has been prominent and traffic congestion has become increasingly fierce.To effectively solve the problem of urban traffic congestion,we must first clarify the supply and demand contradiction of the traffic network,in other words,the static and real-time dynamic traffic efficiency of the traffic network.This paper took the spatial structure of traffic network and the analysis of traffic congestion as the starting point,and analyzes the connotation of urban static and dynamic traffic efficiency from the perspective of spatial analysis.On this basis,the traffic network of Xi'an City was taken as the research object.The spatial syntactic model was used to quantitatively analyze the spatial characteristics of traffic network.At the same time,based on the accessibility of traffic network,the differences in accessibility of traffic network in different regions were compared.In addition,the spatial and temporal conditions of traffic congestion in Xi'an were discussed by using GIS spatial analysis theory through real-time traffic data.From the perspective of differences,this paper discusses the operational efficiency of urban road traffic in Xi'an from the perspectives of static operation characteristics and dynamic congestion characteristics of traffic roads.The main research results and conclusions of the paper include:(1)The space syntax model can quantify the local and global morphological characteristics of the traffic network,and is suitable for the analysis of the static efficiency of the traffic network.The static efficiency of the Xi'an traffic network as a whole presents the “single core cross-type” distribution characteristics represented by the axis.On the other hand,the accessibility evaluation method based on GIS can visualize the accessibility of the traffic network.The results show that the overall accessibility of the main urban area decreases outward in an arc shape,and the accessibility in the southwest region is generally high;(2)This study analyzed the dynamic characteristics of traffic network from the perspective of the overall congestion space pattern and congestion space-time characteristics,and combines spatial-temporal exploratory analysis methods to show that traffic congestion has spatial autocorrelation.Real-time traffic data is suitable for extracting congestion space feature.The congestion in Xi'an was time-prone,with an “M” pattern apparent during the week,and the weekend trend was more gradual.Congestion was mainly concentrated at main roads and intersections,while sub-main roads and branch roads did not show significant evacuation of congestion.(3)Combining the static efficiency and dynamic efficiency of the traffic network,it was found that the single-center development model in Xi'an has been difficult to meet the current needs.According to the new urban planning,Xi'an is adjusting to a multi-center structure.In this process,the traffic network should also be adjusted to multi-centers,such as planning traffic zoning.
