The Internet of things,Cloud computing and Big data are called a new generation of the information and communication technology.As the development and wide application of them,in the last few years,Smart City projects are developed rapidly.It has already permeated every aspect of human's life,and greatly satisfy the pursuits of modern people,like convenient,fast and high quality of life.The applications of Smart City depend on the support of basic geographic information data.However,in Digital City,this kind of data are produced massively and used limitedly.The data of 2D vector,3D model and image grid,are all from different data collecting methods and in different data structures.Because of the lone update cycles,large amount of data sizes and poor integration,the data we used in Digital City,are not fit for Smart City applications anymore.It is not only necessary to use new technologies and methods for data production and management,but also to make full use of existing data to reduce duplications of production.To manage spatial data of Smart City,it is necessary to build a 3D geographic information database,which is spatial integration of ground-underground and indoor-outdoor.In this paper,for a region of 2 square kilometers,it designs and implements a 3D modeling project of Smart City program.In this new type of Smart City program,it explored some applications of data production,database management,3D visualization,spatial analysis,etc.The main work of this paper is to product 3D models of total factor in this study region,data reduction,data presentation,and to create a geographic information map of three-dimensional.The main study problems in this paper is:1.By analyzing basic data,geographical conditions of this study area,and the use demand of data,it explores a practical way to product 3D geographic information model data.And use it to finish all 3D geographic information models of total factor in this study area at last.2.This paper studies the key technical route of modeling a fine real-high-difference terrain.It uses 3dsMax2012 and TerrainAxe to complete the terrain model production of this study area.3.By using Skyline company's TerraExplorer Pro software,this paper explores the management and application of 3d model symbols and realizes the 3d symbolic display of spatial point data.4.This paper try to process basic geographic information data of this study area with ArcMap,AutoCAD and 3DMine;to product 3D model data with 3dsMax2012 and Photoshop;to separate stratum control the multisource heterogeneous data,information fusion and 3D visualization,with TerraExplorer Pro.It will eventually realize spatial integration of indoor-outdoor and 2D-3D,will build a 3D geospatial information framework for the Smart City program of this study area.In the case of limited basic data,this paper makes full information extraction and utilization of basic terrain data,establishes the basic geographic information database and terrain database.Using artificial photography and manual modeling,fine buildings,roads and rivers,high-difference terrain model,transport facilities,municipal components,landscaping and indoor models are produced.Using ArcGIS software,the properties of 3D models and 2D vector models are connected together.Using the TerraExplorer Pro software,the model data in this study area are classified and hierarchical.They are displayed in 3D visualization,can be queried and analyzed effectively.
