The varied line space(VLS)plane grating dispersion in addition to the familiar,focus and diffraction characteristics,but also has the imaging characteristics,so it has broad application prospects in the fields of engineering and scientific research.Currently many imaging properties of the VLS plane transmission grating have not been revealed,which restricts its application.Therefore,studying the imaging properties of the VLS plane transmission grating further is not only conducive to explore imaging phenomenon,recognizing the new law,but also important to provide a reference for applications such as flat non-periodic grating in many areas.The imaging properties of the VLS plane transmission grating were investigated deeply in this paper.First,the imaging characteristics of one-dimensional planar VLS grating,from two aspects of theory and experiment were studied research jfrom both theoretical and experimental aspects.In theory,a diffraction imaging theory based on Fermat's principle for one-dimensional VLS plane transmission grating was analyzed,the relationship between images obtained diffraction image,magnification and aberration and spatial frequency distribution was established.Designed and produced a one-dimensional VLS plane,it is concluded that the experimental results coincide with theoretical analysis;Then,for a two-dimensional curve of VLS plane grating,the imaging characteristics were studied,through the theory and the experiment research the imaging characteristics of two-dimensional curve of VLS plane grating,from two aspects of theory and experiment of diffraction imaging as analysis,comparison,the various influencing factors of diffraction of object relations,magnification and aberration were obtained.Based on one-dimensional and two-dimensional curve of VLS plane grating experiment and theoretical study,the related laws of physics were obtained:the Monomial coefficient B and the coefficients C of the quadratic equation expression of the spatial frequency distribution mainly affect the diffraction of object relations,magnification;The greater incident light wavelength,the smaller the image distance,the smaller the magnification.Greatly influenced by the Angle of incidence of astigmatism,under the particular angle of incidence,the astigmatism is 0,the imaging quality is the best,the deviation from this particular incident angle,the astigmatism is bigger,image quality is poor.
