The superfamily Siphlonuroidea(Insecta:Ephemeroptera)has more plesiomorphies in the order. However, probably because of unstable classification system, less species but cosmopolitan distribution, most of the families are relatively limited known. This condition is especially worse in Chinese mainland.Only 13 species in 6 genera and families were reported so far. Most of them were described very simple and briefly.A more deep and comprehensive classification on this superfamily will contribute greatfly to Chinese mayfly research. In present study, all Siphlonuroidea specimens in the Mayfly collection,Nanajing Normal University are classified. As a result,28 species belonging to 6 families 7 genera of Chinese mainland are identified and described.Among them, there are 6 new species to science:Siphlonurus robustus sp.nov.,Isonychia sangangensis sp.nov.,Isonychia lutea sp.nov.,Isonychia maculiformis sp.nov.,Isonychia unguliformis sp.nov.,Isonychia zhejiangensis sp.nov..Nine additional species are first records to China. The imaginal and nymphal stages of the Siphlonurus davidi(Navas;1932)are found for the first time. The thesis here also provides some geographical distribution and ecology of mayflies in the Siphlonuroidea. The specimens in present study are all deposited in the College of Life Science,Nanjing Normal University.
