Guangzhou has a special geographic location and obvious climate features which can be seen from its hot climate all the year round,solar radiation intensity,long-time high temperature,and its high air humidity,etc.However,most of the atrium space is usually a closed space,in most cases is a single layout,inside the atrium use more air conditioning,lead to the huge consumption of energy.In addition,the design process is often neglected blocks surrounding environment and block morphological characteristics which will effect on the atrium of the building.Therefore,there is a great theoretical significance and a realistic significance to make a study on the relationship about microclimate between the city blocks and the atrium space of the building.Concern on the relationship,it is good to improve the comfort of the atrium space.at the same time,Explore design strategies and methods associated with city blocks microclimate in Guangzhou area has important practical significance and a certain theoretical significance.In this study,Through the investigation and the analysis of software simulation,this thesis discovers that the micro-climate comfort of atrium buildings in Guangzhou area is insufficient,and often requires a lot of mechanical means to improve its micro-climate,the main reason is during the design stage of building,the neglect of design concepts.we have not fully utilized the existing microclimate of city blocks and fully tap its potential.What factors generally architectural design consideration is often limited to single buildings and the project site itself,and also less considerations of the external resources and conditions,such as the form and the dimension of city blocks.However,if full consideration to the relevance of city blocks microclimate,the active use of city blocks in favorable conditions,at the same time adequately cope with city blocks in unfavorable conditions,combined with the atrium building itself actively and cooperate with the adjustment of the city blocks' microclimate,it can improve the micro-climate of the atrium space to a greater extent.Therefore,this article first proposes that we should pay attention to microclimate associated factors between urban city blocks and atrium space and two were in different aspects.Such as relevance in the wind environment,thermal environment,light environment.Furthermore we should explore ways of improvement in the atrium space microclimate associated with city block micro-climate's design,which includes design objectives,strategies and methods.The main conclusions of this article are as follows:1.City block and the atrium space are associated with microclimate factors including natural factors and form factors,as well as the microclimate relevance of city block and atrium building through an intermediary building form buckle contact under the same factor microclimate.2.Ways to optimize the atrium microclimate associated with the city block micro climates includes four species optimization.It is about the use of "addition and subtraction" of the atrium forms,atrium lighting surface and the combination atrium flexible change,active use of external resources and atrium building envelope diversely rational use.3.City block type in Guangzhou is mainly divided comprehensively with characteristics of block layout morphological,block density and also the resource inside block area.In addition,make full use of the atrium space and its layout feature of surrounding building groups to divide into three typical blocks,they are L-shaped +open space blocks,U-shaped +Riverside blocks,enclosed type blocks.4.Atrium space design associated with the city block microclimate in Guangzhou,there are four main design strategies.First of all,it can be actively taken to guide the block wind,then effective use of the surrounding buildings shade in order to reduce heat radiation of atrium space,and secondly use shading and daylight intelligent interaction in order to reduce calorie of atrium space as far as possible,as well as using reasonable exterior envelope structure to enable the atrium space avoid disadvantages from the city blocks.5.Atrium space design methods associated with city blocks microclimate in Guangzhou.Three aspects are discussed.First,the design elements focus on climate and characteristic of city block layout.secondly,the design process is mainly focused on measurement and research,software simulation and design evaluation and optimization.In addition,there are three design methods fit for Guangzhou area atrium design,based on wind environment the atrium space is shaped form,based on the surrounding microclimate atrium space is created in polymorphic composition and the Integration of atrium space and city block advantageous factors.
