Vegetation Ecology Research At The Habitat Of Sichuan Snub-nosed Monkey In Shennongjia Natural Reserve

Rhinopithecus roxellanais a rare and endemic species in China under the first rate national protection.Shenongjia,a national natural reserve in Hubei prevince,is the most eastern end where the Rhinopithecus roxellana is foung.In 2013 and 2014,two trips there for the ecology observations of the Rhinopithecus roxellanahave been made,mainly analyzed their habitat floristic composition of seed plants,food source plant conditions,species diversity,and Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat vegetation classification sorted,analyzed the composition and community structure of each vegetation type,and put forward countermeasures and suggestions for vegetation protection.The study provides important reference forconservation and restoration of the vegetation at the habitat of Sichuan snub-nosed monkey in Shennongjia Natural Reserve.The main conclusions are as follows:1.In the survey of 127 quadrats,641 species were found belonged to 97 families,and 293 genera,in which there are 15 families,and 22 genera and 26 species ferns,2 families,6 genera and 8 species gymnosperms,80 families,265 genera and 607 species angiosperms.2.The geographical components of seedplants are complex and diverseinRhinopithecus roxellana habitat According to Wu Zhengyi "World Families of Seed Plants distribution type system" and "World Seed Plants distribution type system",the families of seed plants are classified as study areas contain 7 distribution types and 8 distribution subtypes in Sichuan golden monkey habitat;the genera of seed plant are divided into 14 distribution type and 8 distribution subtypes.3.Floristic element is dominated by temperatecharacteristic,and has the rich tropical element.By type of distribution of seed plants in the area,we may see a temperate nature has 149genera,80.50%of the total number of genera,tropical nature has 37genera,15.35%of the total number of genera.Showing floristic element is dominated by temperatecharacteristic,because Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat is mainly related to the high altitude region in Shennongjia Nature Reserve.4.Spss statistical software with the dominance of species cluster analysis and Shennongjia golden monkey habitat community classification,127 investigated plant plots were divided into 16 formations and a community according to the principle and system of classification in Vegetation of China:(1)Ass.Pinus armandii+Fagus engleriana-Spiraea chinensis+Indocalamus nubigenus-Geranium rosthornii+Parathelypteris nipponica;(2)Ass.Populus davidiana+Ouercus spinosa-Indocalamus nubigenus-Smilax riparia;(3)Ass.Ouercus aliena var.acutiserrata+Ouercus spinosa-Indocalamus nubigenus+Euonymus alatus-Aster ageratoides+Lonicera acuminata;(4)Ass.Betulaa lbosinensis+Populus lasiocarpa-Acer caudatum var.multiserratum+Sorbus hupehensis-Galium asperuloides subsp.hoffmeisteri+Pachysandra terminalis;(5)Ass.Betula albosinensis-Litsea ichangensis+Rosa henryi-Parathelypteris japonica+Schisandra incarnata;(6)Ass Abies fargesii+Betula albosinensis-Fargesia spathacea+Rosa omeiensis-Parasenecio profundorum+Saussurea chingiana;(7)Ass.Betula Chinensis+Pinus armandii-Abelia macrotera+Rhododendron concinnum-Schisandra incarnate+Toxicodendron radicans;(8)Ass.Populus davidiana+Pinus armandii-Indocalamus nubigenus+Symplocos paniculata-Carex thibetica;(9)Ass.Ouercus spinosa+Pinus armandii-Fargesia robusta-Schisandra chinensis;(10)Ass.Fagus engleriana-Lindera obtusiloba+Vibumum setigerum-Saussurea alatipes;(11)Ass.Pinus armandii-Spiraea veitchii+Crataegus wilsonii-Parathelypteris nipponica;(12)Ass.Fagus engleriana+Pinus armandii-Sorbus hupehensis+Smilax stans-Schisandra chinensis+Aster trinervius;(13)Ass.Pinus armandii+Salix hypoleuca-Viburnum setigerum+Viburnum betulifolium-Lonicera acuminate+Schisandra chinensis;(14)Ass,Abies fargesii+Pinus armandii-Smilax stans+Spiraea veitchii-Parathelypteris nipponica;(15)Ass.Keteleeria davidiana-Berberis triacanthophora+Rosa caudate-Matteuccia struthiopteris;(16)Ass Abies fargesii+Populus davidiana-Indocalamus nubigenus-Ligusticum sinense;(17)Comm Abies fargesii-Acer oliverianum+Helwingia japonica-Polygonum pinetorum.5.Each group leaves,the species diversity is herb>shrub>tree.For the most number of species associations XI,there are 238 kinds;followed by associations XIV and associations I,respectively,234 kinds and 217 kinds;these three associations are more species of plants,mainly there are widely distributed in the Sichuan golden monkey activity in Shennongjia,associations is higher altitude,and less human interference.The minimum number species of associations ?,only71species,because it is located uphill and terraces in Qianjiaping,This area of shrub layer Indocalamus nubigenuscover more than 90%,and herb layer is difficult to grow.Associations ? tree species is the largest proportion in the gross number of species,reaching 18.5%;followed by associations ??,17.4%;associations ? is the least,only 6.9%.6.The proportion of Betula albosinensis+Populus lasiocarpa(associations IV)is the largest in DBH trees greater than 30cm of all associations,an average of 28.6%;followed by Fagus engleriana+Pinus armandii(associations ?),is 24.3%.The proportion of Quercus aliena var.acutiserrata+Quercus spinosa(associations III)is the largest in DBH trees less than 30cm of all associations,is 43.1%,and is the lowest in average tree height of 15m,and hidden poor,activity is not conducive to Rhinopzithecus roxelana.7.1nthe 127 investigated plant plots,their elevation is mainly between 1800-2700m,is the main activity area of Rhinopithecus roxellana.Associations VI contains 22 plots,and is the largest number of samples party associations;secondly associations I and associations XIV,each containing 19 and 16 plots.From a practical point of view the survey,These three associations are the most widely distributed at the habitat of Sichuan snub-nosed monkey in Shennongjia Natural Reserve.These three associations of the dominant species of tree layer is Pinus armandii,Abies fargesii,Betula albosinensis,Fagus engleriana,and are all the Sichuan snub-nosed monkey main food source of plant,these three associations are the main community vegetation types at the habitat of Sichuan snub-nosed monkey in Shennongjia Natural Reserve.The proportion of Betula albosinensis+Populus lasiocarpa(associations ?)is the largest in DBH trees greater than 30cm of all associations,and theis association is also the main community vegetation types at the habitat of Sichuan snub-nosed monkey in Shennongjia Natural Reserve.
