Zhengzhou-Luoyang area,which enjoys an important and special historical status in the development of Chinese prehistoric settlement and ancient civilization,contains many known Neolithic settlement sites at which evidence of human activity has been found.After decades of archaeological discoveries a lot of data about field archaeology have been accumulated.And this data is the basis of our research.Spatio-temporal data model is a description of the process of change in the geographic phenomenon data model.Using the spatio-temporal data model in the study of the prehistoric settlement sites,helps to understand the choice of prehistoric human on the environment and settlement sites(settlement cluster)system development and evolution.In this paper,taking Zhengzhou-Luoyang area as an example,the spatio-temporal data model applied to the settlement archaeology,to reveal the spatio-temporal regularity and influence factors in evolution of settlement sites.The main contents as follows:(1)By described the spatio-temporal data model from time characteristics,spatial characteristics,attribute characteristics and the spatio-temporal change,the advantages and disadvantages of the spatio-temporal data model were analyzed.Determined on the object-oriented thought,establish the settlement cluster object spatio-temporal data model.Elaborate the model from conceptual,logical and physical aspects.Considered rivers and mountains can influence for clustering,using the improved DBSCAN algorithm confirm the settlement group object.Based on the analysis of the settlement cluster object and its characteristics,the evolution of the settlement group were analyzed,and compared with the conclusion of the archaeological experts,the result has good credibility.(2)Through the distribution characteristics of the Neolithic settlement sites with single type and overlapping type,analyzed the influence factors in settlement distribution,evolution of settlement sites,found the distribution and evolution of settlement are greatly influenced by climate change.Using the overlap coefficient of culture sites,analysis the settlement site inheritance and migration.In the early Neolithic,the proportion of settlement migration proportion is large,inheritance is weak;the mid-to-late of the Neolithic settlement migration proportion is small,inheritance is strong.(3)Finally,the prototype system is established to evaluate the spatio-temporal model from the spatio-temporal retrospect and spatio-temporal query.
