Analysis And Research On The Evolution Of Wolfberry Industry Clusters In Qaidam

In the past two decades,as a unique form of organization existing in the world economy,industrial clusters have played an important role in promoting regional economic growth.However,most industrial clusters adopt developed regions as research objects,and considering China’s national conditions and regional differences,the most prominent contradiction is the unbalanced regional economic development.As the characteristic biological industry and one of the seven leading industries in Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture,Qaidam wolfberry industry has gradually assumed the important task of the harmonious economic and social development of Haixi prefecture.By studying the historical context of Qaidam wolfberry industry cluster,this paper aims to improve the economic development of this region and narrow the regional gap.Based on the principles of relevant theories,this paper uses the life cycle theory to divide the Qaidam wolfberry industrial cluster into four stages,namely the origin,the germination,the growth and the early maturity.This paper also gives a summary concerning the number of enterprises in the cluster,employees,supporting organizations,industrial chains,basic resources,regional brands,and the cluster’s innovative evolution,thus concluding the characteristics of the cluster’s evolution,namely increasingly concentrated large-scale planting,deepened factor sharing,and strengthened competition and cooperation.In addition,through an analytic hierarchy process,this paper verifies the changing trend of cluster effect and discovers gradually increasing functions of the cluster combined effect,competitive edge effect,and innovative effect,with constantly deepening cluster evolution.At the same time,problems also exist,such as shortage of human capital,insufficient brand pulling power,slow-growing effect of technological innovation,small scale of enterprises,and imperfect social service system,all affecting the cluster upgrading and development.Therefore,in the last two chapters,according to the research results,this paper analyzes the existing opportunities and challenges confronting the Qaidam wolfberry cluster.By referring to the evolutionary development paths of other domestic industrial clusters,this paper proposes two evolutionary development paths and corresponding suggestions for the Qaidam wolfberry industrial cluster.
