With the continuous development of Chinese-made rail transportation equipment to the world,we have developed new types of railway rolling stock continuously to meet the individual needs of different users.In the developing process of these products,it is especially important to well carry out risk management,avoid various kinds of risk,fulfill orders,and ensure high-quality products.This article studies the risk management of the research and development(R&D)Project of SDA4 Locomotive Electrical System exported to Thailand by CRRC Ziyang Co.,Ltd.Firstly,the research background,significance,and purpose of the project are introduced.Then,it combs the concept of project risk management theory,the process of project risk management,and the concept of each process.The domestic and foreign research situations of project risk management are summarized.Through the introduction of the R&D Project of SDA4 Locomotive Electrical System,this article describes and shows the process and characteristics of the project,management organization structure,research and development ideas,the characteristics of each subsystem,the main contents and methods of the project.Thirdly,it analyzes the potential risk of the project according to the process of project risk management(risk identification,risk assessment and evaluation,risk response,and final risk outcome of project).In the research process,Delphi method,brainstorming method,checklist method and three-dimensional risk identification model are used to identify the risk.The risk is estimated by using the probability impact matrix,and the technical risk of the SDA4 locomotive electrical system is evaluated by fuzzy evaluation method,and the management was qualitatively evaluated.Finally,it suggests the measures to deal with the whole process of risk management by taking the project leader system as the organization form,the prevention as the main basic principle,and the external purchase of the design confirmation system as the main risk management means.In the process of R&D Project of SDA4 Locomotive Electrical System,risk management is always throughout the whole process.It has been proven in practice that the electrical system of this type of locomotive has great performance,with lower failure rate,so users are very satisfied and most of them add orders,which wins international reputationfor “Made in China”.It is indicated that the risk management has been successfully implemented in the R&D process of SDA4 locomotive electrical system,and it can be used for reference to the development of other types of locomotives.
