| Since the beginning of the 21 st century,with the increasing competition in the market and the continuous development of the market globalization,time has become an important part of the competitive resources for the company.The manufacturing companies pay more attention to their quick response ability.On-time delivery is an important basis to shorten the business process time and to ensure the agile operation of supplier chain.How to ensure on-time delivery is the core of the operation management of many manufacturing companies.Philips Lighting Manufacturing(ShenZhen)Company(Hereinafter referred to as "Philips Lighting Company")is a typical manufacturing company.Its business sales continue to decline recently,which is mainly due to the serious problem on the fast and punctual order delivery.Through the field investigation,we find: The supply capability of upstream suppliers for Philips Lighting Company is guaranteed.The inventory compression strategy in this company is also implemented well enough.Therefore,this thesis mainly focuses on the internal operation to study the order delivery problem of the operation management.This thesis studies the issue of order delivery deeply,on the basis of the operation management knowledge,such as process management,field management,Just-in-Time(JIT)etc.,by using the interview and questionaire survey to obtain first-hand data,and the recent research outcomes from the relevant academic articles as well.The main contents of this thesis include:(1)Introduction and theoretical review.(2)The brief introduction of Philips Lighting Company and its operation status investigation and analysis.(3)The key problem of order delivery in company operation management and its cause analysis.(4)Discussion on the operation measures of solving the above problems.Through the specific measures to solve the above problems as the followings: JIT and 5S,Total Productive Maintenance and new product development process optimization.This thesis is purposed to promote Philips Lighting Company’s ability for solving the order delivery problem in the operation management practice,then the company may enhance the overall operational efficiency and market competitiveness for winning the customer trust.So,it makes the suggestions to help the company with better sustainable development.Other than this,we hope this article can provide China local manufacturers for operation management with some reference value. |
