Driven by the tremendous potential of China’s express market,the explosive growth of the domestic express industry has mushroomed,and express enterprises with different modes have been set up one after another.Our express industry shows a certain degree of vitality.After fierce competition,the express giant headed by SF,Shen Tong,Zhongtong and Yuantong gradually formed.The reason for this is worth exploring.The essence of the competition between enterprises is actually the competition of business models.It is precisely because of the differences in business models that the express industry formed a giant company headed by the"Three Links" and SF.Peter Drucker,a management guru,once said:"The competition among enterprises today is not the competition between products,but the competition between business models." Therefore,the analysis of China’s express business model for express enterprises is of great significance.This article takes the courier industry business model as the research object and the business model element canvas model as the analysis tool.It mainly uses the qualitative research and summarizes the research methods,from the courier industry’s product or service interface,the asset management Interface,the customer interface and the financial interface,respectively analyzes the nine elements of the value proposition,key resources,key activities,key partnership,customer segments,channel,customer relationships,cost structure and revenue stream of express,finally draws the canvas elements of the business model of express.And concludes that the courier business model is an organism composed of nine interrelated,mutual-based and inter-related elements.Finally,combining with the case analysis,taking SF Express as the research object,this paper analyzes in detail the specific contents of each element of the core business and business model of SF Express during initial stage,transition and upgrade phase,and comprehensive layout phase.Finally,to summarize and analyze,come to two conclusions.First,the process of SF Express’s transformation and upgrading is actually a process of dynamically matching different phases of its life cycle and forming the elements of its business model.Upgrading and transformation of enterprises is actually the transformation of its business model,that is,the various elements that form the business model Change and transformation.And at different stages of SF’s development,its key business model elements are different.The initial stage,the value proposition and customer segmentation are the main factors for the enterprise to move forward.In the stage of transformation and upgrading,the income is the main driving force for the evolution of its business model.In the comprehensive layout stage,core resources and important cooperation are the most concerned the core of this stage of construction.Second,SF’s competitiveness is the result of its value proposition,the mutual promotion and interaction of income sources and core resources.The value proposition plays a guiding and promoting role in the formation of the competitiveness of enterprises.The source of income is the cornerstone of the formation of the competitiveness of enterprises.The core resources are the key elements for enterprises to enhance and maintain their competitiveness.Based on the income,SF takes customer value proposition as a guide and gradually forms its own competitiveness while strengthening its core resources so as to enhance and maintain the competitiveness of the enterprise and finally form its own core competition.As a result,SF become a leader in the express industry.
