Research On Overseas R&D, Dynamic Capability And Enterprise Innovation Performance

With the development of economic globalization,Chinese enterprises have to face the global market leading companies in the competition,and to secure a position in the global market,enterprises must improve their innovation performance.Nowadays,more and more enterprises(especially high-tech enterprises)choose to conduct research and development activities abroad as important decisions for long-term development.Therefore,in this context to explore the relationship between enterprise overseas r&d and innovation performance,to guide our country as the representative of how emerging economies enterprise engaged in r&d activities in overseas has important practical significance.At one time,a large number of scholars believe that overseas research and development activities are the key to improve enterprise’s innovation performance,and it points out that overseas research and development directly influence the innovation performance of enterprises.Dynamic capability theory is not consistent point of view,they think overseas r&d and innovation performance not only there is a direct causal relationship between,also by influencing the dynamic capability and indirectly affect the enterprise innovation performance,but few scholars combined with the specific situation to study overseas r&d is how through dynamic role in the performance of enterprise innovation.Therefore,under the background of the study dynamic capability between overseas r&d and innovation performance in the middle of the mechanism,can make the enterprise represented by the emerging economies clear dynamic capabilities in the overseas research and development and the important role between enterprise innovation performance.In addition,the theory of contingency emphasizes that the organization needs to be adjusted at any time in operation and development according to the change of internal and external environment.At the same time,Teece points out that dynamic capabilities are the ability of an enterprise to respond to a fast changing environment in a dynamic environment.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the influence of dynamic capability on enterprise innovation performance under different environmental dynamics.This paper on innovation performance,the overseas research and development,the ability of dynamic research status as well as the environmental dynamics theory and empirical research present situation has carried on the detailed comb,based on the discovered the deficiency of previous research and constructed as the breakthrough point of this article research models,and puts forward a series of assumptions;Secondly this article selects the high and new technology enterprises in our country in 2011-2016 panel data of listed companies as samples in this paper,empirical research,the data collection after the simple processing,in turn,have panel data unit root test,determine the panel data regression model(the individual fixed effects model,descriptive statistics analysis,Person correlation analysis,multiple linear regression analysis,such as data analysis,empirically tested the dynamic capability in mediating role between overseas r&d and innovation performance and environmental dynamics on dynamic capabilities and the enterprise innovation performance relationship adjustment.The following main conclusions are drawn:(1)the overseas research and development depth significantly negatively affects the innovation performance of enterprises,while the breadth of overseas research and development is positively affecting the innovation performance of enterprises.(2)significant negative impact on the absorption capacity and innovation ability of enterprises abroad,significantly positively affecting the adaptability of enterprises;The breadth of overseas research and development is positively affecting the absorptive capacity and innovation ability of enterprises,which can significantly affect the adaptability of enterprises.(3)the ability to absorb and innovate has a significant positive impact on enterprise innovation performance,and the adaptive ability has an insignificant positive influence on enterprise innovation performance.(4)the mediating effect between overseas r&d and enterprise innovation performance is mediated by absorption capacity,adaptability and innovation ability.(5)environmental dynamics on absorptive capacity and the relationship between the enterprise innovation performance is significant positive adjustment,also the ability to adapt and innovation ability and the relationship between the enterprise innovation performance is significant positive adjustment.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward the following management Suggestions: in the early years of overseas research and development,enterprises should strive to reduce the overseas r&d depth of enterprises in the process of overseas r&d activities;Efforts should also be made to increase the dispersion of research and development activities abroad,but within acceptable limits.In the process of carrying out overseas research and development activities,the cultivation and promotion of dynamic capability are emphasized,which will promote the continuous improvement of innovation performance.The regulation effect of dynamic capability and enterprise innovation performance is emphasized.This study may have two innovations: first,based on the perspective of dynamic capability theory,this paper analyzes the intermediate mechanism of enterprise overseas research and development to influence innovation performance.Second,deepen the relationship between the enterprise overseas r&d and innovation performance research,expanded the relationship between the theory of boundary,according to the Angle of contingency theory,the environmental dynamics as regulating variable into the research framework,empirically the environmental dynamics on dynamic capabilities and the enterprise innovation performance adjustment.
