| With the rise of the global manufacturing network and the post economic crisis era,the increasing cost of each factor of production turned into reality,the original low cost advantage gradually depleted,and the development space of the cluster enterprises is limited.The essence of technological innovation in cluster enterprises is knowledge innovation.Knowledge innovation depends on the original knowledge stock and the availability of new knowledge.Suppliers,customers,competitors,universities and research institutions are important sources of innovation.Therefore,it is becoming more and more important for cluster enterprises to build knowledge sharing network which it can acquire internal and external knowledge resources,so as to promote innovation performance.Failure is the result of enterprise innovation performance lower than expected,that is,the existing programs,design,problem-solving methods and related systems flawed or invalid.Failure can lead to questions about innovation and discover useful knowledge for subsequent innovation,and apply it to the process of innovation.As a matter of fact,innovation is an activity with high risk and high failure rate.Gourvile(2006)found that the rate of innovation failure is always hovering at 40%-90%.Failure learning can reduce the error rate and improve the success rate of subsequent innovation,that is to say,failure learning can effectively promote the improvement of innovation performance.In reality,however,many organizations are unable to learn from failure and continue to fail because of the failure to recognize failure.The knowledge sharing network can bring new and heterogeneous failure experience,and can provide reference for the development of organizational failure learning.By making use of the internal failure experience and constantly exploring the external failure experience,the failure experience is rooted in the memory of the organization,which promotes the development of organizational failure learning.In this paper,through the analysis of four cases that are Dahua、SUPOR、ZheJiang Medicine、GEELY,we examine the influence mechanism of cluster knowledge sharing network,failure learning and innovation performance.The results show as follows.Firstly,the relationship between knowledge-sharing network and innovation performance:network technology diversity positively affects innovation performance,the depth of network technology diversification positively influences innovation performance,the width of network technology diversification positively influences innovation performance,local network positive impact on performance of enterprise innovation,ultra-local network positive impact on innovation performance,the strength of network relationship have positive effect on innovation performance,strong ties positively affect innovation performance,weak ties positively influence innovation performance.Secondly,the relationship between knowledge-sharing network and failure learning:network technology diversity positively influences failure learning,the depth of network technology diversification positively influences failure learning,the width of network technology diversification positively influences failure learning,the depth of network technology diversification positively influences near-failure learning,the width of network technology diversification positively influences near-failure learning,the diversification depth ratio of network technology in the knowledge sharing network has a greater impact on the failure learning;network geographical dimensions in knowledge sharing network positively affects failure learning,the local network has a positive impact on failure learning,the ultra-local network positively influences failure learning,the local network in the geographical dimension of knowledge sharing positively influences the near-failure learning,the ultra-local network positively affects the near-failure learning,the ultra-local network has more influence on the near-failure learning than the local network;the network relationship strength has a positive impact on the failure learning,strong ties positively affect the failure learning,weak ties positively affect failure learning,strong ties positively affect near-failure learning,weak ties positively influence near-failure learning.Thirdly,the relationship between failure learning and innovation performance:failure learning positively affects innovation performance,near-failure learning positively affects innovation performance. |
