| As the team becomes popular in enterprises as an organization form,and the diversity of team members becomes increasingly common,how to effectively manage the diversified teams and stimulate their innovative potential has become an emerging issue.Therefore,scholars have carried out a large number of studies on team diversity and its consequences.Based on previous research,this paper categories team diversity into three dimensions,namely segmented variety,differentiated variety,and gap variety to study,which can combine the attributes and distribution of diversity.And referring to social category theory,similarity-attraction theory,information/decision making theory,relative deprivation theory and so on,this paper analyzes the influence of the three types of team diversity on the psychological and behavior of team members separately,which leads to differences in knowledge sharing and innovation performance.The questionnaires are distributed through a variety of ways among enterprises and university research teams in Beijing,Tianjin and Hubei,and the empirical test of the hypothesis is conducted using the screened survey data.The results show that segmented variety and differentiated variety are easy to cause social categorization process and team members' sense of unfairness,which have a negative impact on knowledge sharing and innovation performance,whereas gap variety can provide the team with a variety of information and knowledge,and has a certain role in encouraging knowledge sharing among team members,which has a positive impact on innovation performance.In addition,we also found that there are also interactions between the three types of diversity:segmented variety and differentiated variety can not only influence the innovation performance through direct inhibitory effect on knowledge sharing,but also has a negative moderating effect on positive effect brought by gap variety,making the promoting effect on innovation performance of gap variety greatly reduced. |
