Farmland Shareholding Cooperative System regards farmland contract rights as stock rights,and breaks down farmers' rights of farmland contract and management into farmland contracting rights and farmland use and management rights.Separation of farmland contracting rights and use rights not only protects the farmland contracting rights of farmers as collective members,but also allows the use rights of contracted lands to be optimally allocated through methods of market allocation such as leasing.In the framework of existing farmland system in China,Farmland Shareholding Cooperative System plays a critical role in innovating in rural business entities,revitalizing farmland and other productive resources,and promoting rural economic development.It has been found that land circulation characterized by demutualization of farmland contracting rights is a valid way to utilize farmland,and also the direction of the property right reform of collective ownership of rural lands.Based on the theory of Shareholding Cooperative System,theories of industrial development of agriculture,and property rights system,this paper first put forwards the background of the research topic,namely bottlenecks confronting the industrial development of agriculture and reform of rural land system in China.These obstacles include decreased land allocation efficiency caused by farmland household contract management system,needs for innovation in the farmland system under the existing land system,and needs to improve the efficiency of farmland utilization through the circulation of land use rights.This paper then expounds on farmland shareholding cooperative system,which is an effective method to improve the utilization of farmland recourses,an innovation in reform and practice of farmland utilization system and rural collective property rights,and an effective way to promote the development of agricultural industry in the framework of the existing farmland system in China.After that,this paper discusses various factors that affect the development of agriculture theoretically-land,capital,technology,labor force,fannland system.Furthermore,combining theory with practice,this paper analyzes the outcomes of the development of agricultural industry promoted by farmland shareholding cooperative system through survey data.Finally,the research findings were concluded,and suggestions about policy making were put forward from the perspective of further developing Farmland Shareholding Cooperative System to promote the development of agricultural industry.
