The Influence Of The Development Level Of Exhibition Industry On The Economic Growth Of Regional Service Industry

The exhibition industry,is known as the "smoke-free industry" and "new economic industry" because of its high efficiency,no pollution and high yield.As the booster of economic development and the "barometer" of national economic development,it has become a new growth point for the development of national economy in many countries in the world and can be regarded as a sign of the maturity and perfection of the tertiary industry in the region.In China,however,the development level of the exhibition industry,how to measure,and whether related with regional economic growth are novel and worthy of study.Therefore,the study of exhibition industry with regional service industry economic growth has important practical significance and theoretical significance,making a contribution to China’s exhibition industry and providing basic support for further scientific research of the exhibition economy.On the basis of summarizing the existing literature,this paper analyzes the relationship between the development level of the exhibition industry and the economic growth of the service industry,and then makes a qualitative description of the development of China’s exhibition industry.Secondly,by using the basic data of the development level of the exhibition industry in each province,applying the global actor analysis to extract the two global common factors,and the factor scores of each province are obtained then classified and ranked.The results show that the development level of the exhibition industry is generally low,especially in the central and western regions which have much space to improve: in the time dimension,the provincial level of exhibition industry development is basically showing a trend of increasing year by year,but the provinces growth rate are different: the eastern faster,followed by the middle,and western slowest;In the spatial dimension,the development level of the exhibition industry has typical grading and location characteristics that the levels in each province are ranked distribution:obviously eastern is better,followed by the middle,and western falls behind others and the levels have a typical regional differences as well.Thirdly,this paper establishes the dynamic panel model of the development of the exhibition industry to the economic growth of the service industry.From the national level,the level of the exhibition industry development significantly has been affecting the economic growth of the service industry--the level improves one unit,the tertiary industry per capital GDP will increase0.0617%;From sub-regional perspective,all theregions can promote the economic growth of the service industry,but only the eastern region and the central region are significant except the western region,for the western region is limited by geographical conditions,climatic conditions,infrastructure level,number of tourist attractions and other conditions so that the development of the exhibition industry is relatively low,and can not share the dividend of economic growth brought by the development of the exhibition industry.Overall,the higher the level of development of the exhibition industry,the faster growth of the tertiary industry economic.However,the development of the exhibition industry can not be blindly developed.The development of the exhibition industry requires certain basic conditions and infrastructures,such as transportation,accommodation and tourism,must be perfected.Only on this basis,the development of the exhibition industry can facilitate the promotion of the tertiary Industry economy growth.Finally,according to the research results of this paper,the relevant policy suggestions are put forward.
