Research On The Competitiveness Of China's Intellectual Property Trade

The 21st Century is the era of information economy and knowledge economy,the global intellectual property trade develop rapidly in 21st Century,the global intellectual property trade volumes was only $91.3 billion in 2000,it reached 318.7 billion US dollars in 2015.In the United States,Europe,Japan and other developed economies,Knowledge and innovation has become an important driving force for economic development,the competitiveness of intellectual property trade in developed economies is Strong,their intellectual property trade Maintain a large surplus.However,in China,the competitiveness of intellectual property trade is very weak,the intellectual property trade deficit is huge,it shows obvious comparative disadvantage in the foreign trade.In this paper,the problem about the Intellectual property trade competitiveness of china is the research orientation.The study is divided into four parts.In the first part,the paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of exogenous comparative advantage theory and endogenous comparative advantage theory in the study of intellectual property trade competitiveness,Then,the paper emulate Michael Potter’s"diamond model" create a competitiveness model of china’s intellectual property trade,which is based on the theory of endogenous comparative advantage.In the Second part,the paper use the latest data empirically analyzes the present situation of China’s intellectual property trade according to Net exports(NX),global market share(MSI),trade competitiveness index(TC)and the revealed comparative advantage index(RCA),we found that China’s intellectual property trade competitiveness is very weak.In the third part,This paper analyzes the influence of traditional exogenous factors and endogenous factors on the competitiveness of China’s intellectual property trade,we find that endogenous factors are the key factors which affect the competitiveness of China’s intellectual property trade.Finally,On the basis of previous studies,This paper give suggestions on improving the competitiveness of China’s intellectual property trade based on the theory of endogenous comparative advantage and the competitiveness model of china’s intellectual property trade.
