Research On Project Risk Evaluation Of As/Rs Project In TB Corporation

There are lots of deficiencies by applying traditional warehouse to store goods,for example,traditional warehouse area is insufficient,its manual management is inefficient when receiving,storing and controlling goods' in and out in warehouse.Therefore,traditional warehouse cannot meet the storage requirement of corporation.When traditional warehouse cannot meet corporations' storage requirement,AS/RS(Automatic Storage and Retrieval System)appeared and it could meet corporations'storage requirement.AS/RS could solve lots of that traditional warehouse's deficiencies,like warehouse area is insufficient,manual management is inefficient,and so on.Meanwhile,it also is benefit for helping corporation to make a reasonable producing plan based on its software system managing all kinds of products.Though AS/RS is great for corporation's storage,there are risks when conducting AS/RS project and applying AS/RS,for example,high quality operators are required when applying and operating AS/RS.And the project investment is large when constructing the AS/RS project,which is tough for corporation decision maker to decide to conduct the AS/R S project.Therefore,to assure the success of conducting AS/RS project,it is essential to conduct a research on risks assessment of AS/RS project.This paper will identify the project risks in design phase,implementation phase and trial operation phase.And then based on identified risks,project risk evaluation index system is established.Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is applied to evaluate the project risks of AS/RS project in TB Corporation.According to the risks evaluation results of AS/RS project in TB Corporation,it is found that project risks in design phase,implementation phase,trial operation phase and whole phase are all in low middle.Therefore,it is reasonable for TB Corporation to conduct the AS/RS project.According to the risks evaluation process results,some key risks are found in design phase,implementation phase,and trial operation phase.In design phase,goods storage requirement estimating,software system matching and warehouse process design are the three key risks.In implementation phase,engineering reliability,project funds in place timely,engineering maturity,project cost and engineering difficulty are the five key risks.In trial operation phase,operation personnel quality,operation personnel training and software system maintenance are the three key risks.It is essential to manage these key risks for the success of conducting the AS/RS project and applying AS/RS.When corporation making risk management towards AS/RS project,firstly,it can seek the key risks by using Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation method and AHP method;and then it can manage the risk owners corresponding to the key risks.Thus corporation can make effective risk management to AS/RS project.
