Xia-Zhang-Quan Metropolitan Service Industry Spatial Agglomeration And Its Influencing Factors Analysis

The development of service industry has strong spillover,which can promote industrial development,promote industrial transformation and upgrading.With the accelerating progress of Xiamen,Zhangzhou and Quanzhou,the spatial agglomeration of service industry and its influencing factors are becoming an important promoter of the formation and evolution of metropolitan spatial pattern.Based on the new economic geography,this paper introduces the composite efficiency advantage and the market demand potential variable to express the relationship between the supply and demand of the service industry,and establishes the theoretical analysis model of Xia-Zhang-Quan metropolitan service industry spatial agglomeration.Spatial data of 19 cities in the metropolitan from 1999 to 2014,analyze the spatial agglomeration characteristics and evolution trend of the metropolitan service industry,and establish the spatial weight matrix of geographic distance with the spatial econometrics method,empirically study influencing factors of the metropolitan service industry spatial agglomeration.Research indicates that:(1)The service industry of Xia-Zhang-Quan metropolitan is characterized by the concentration of Xiamen "core" and the spillover of radiation to Zhangzhou-Quanzhou.The spatial agglomeration of service industry is distinct and the polarization is remarkable.Xiamen has obvious advantages of spatial agglomeration,Zhangzhou has significant "Location Stickiness" to Xiamen,and it has the same change with Xiamen service industry concentration,but Quanzhou service industry development does not have the advantage of agglomeration.(2)The composite efficiency advantage and the market demand potential play an important role in promoting the spatial agglomeration of the metropolitan service industry.Meanwhile,improving the market trade facilitation and housing,health care,social security and other non-trade resources coverage will promote the spatial agglomeration of Xia-Zhang-Quan metropolitan service industry.Improving the capacity of science and technology innovation,increasing investment in science and education,urbanization and inter-regional coordination,regional industrial resourcescoordination and integration can promote the development of service industry spatial agglomeration,while the local government policy intervention isn’t conducive to the metropolitan service industry spatial agglomeration.(3)The spillover effect of the Xia-Zhang-Quan metropolitan service industry spatial agglomeration is gradually strengthened,and the spatial dependence of intercity is strong.Thus,at the policy level,the development of metropolitan service industry should note that Xiamen as the "core" of the positive leading role,Zhangzhou-Quanzhou as "peripheral" expansion of the core,the trend of spatial evolution is the spread of radiation from southwest to northeast.Xiamen service industry which should highlight the space spill,Zhangzhou and Quanzhou should strengthen the growth pole function and the interaction between "Core" and "edge",promoting the service industry development of more marginal areas,then improving the overall development level of Xia-Zhang-Quan metropolitan service industry.
