The Yantai Municipal Government Led The Research On The Development Of Tourism

As a permanent sunrise industry,tourism is a national key to support the development of strategic industries.It possesses the unique characteristics of low resource consumption,little environmental pollution,as well as high degree of industrial relevance.With the advantages of creating value-added and absorbing employments,the development of tourism,can not only promote the national economic development,enhance the level of industrial structure and local financial strength,but also improve the city's visibility,popularity and urban prosperity.Hence the sustainable development will also be increasingly promoted.Yantai has a long history,beautiful mountains and rivers,cultural blend,unique ecological location,rich tourism resources,economic prosperity and development,social stability and harmony,with the development of tourism in many areas of comparative advantage.In recent years,Yantai's developing target is to become the most attractive leisure and vacation tourism central city.Focusing on the speed and quality of expansion,it has achieved good results.However,while making certain achievements,there are still some problems and shortcomings,restricting the overall pace of development of the tourism industry.Based on the theory of public management and public economics,this paper summarizes the basis,current situation and existing problems of tourism development in Yantai City,and then analyzes the development of tourism in Yantai by applying SWOT analysis method.The author puts forward the development goals and strategic priorities of the tourism industry under the leadership of the Yantai Municipal Government and then put forward the countermeasures and suggestions for tourism development under the leadership of Yantai city government.Yantai municipal government should strengthen the leading role in the development of tourism,enhance the strategic position of tourism development,accelerate the transformation and upgrading of tourism products,broaden the tourism industry chain,promote the construction of tourism marketing system,build tourism development security mechanism,and boost the healthy fast sustainable development of tourism,so as to push Yantai City tourism development to a new level.
