Influence Of FDI Spillover Effect On Regional Economic Convergence Of APEC

With the continuous advancement and upgrading of regional economic integration,the economic linkages of member countries in APEC become increasingly close,and the regional economic economic spatial spillover effect is becoming more and more obvious.In this paper,from the perspective of economic convergence,we firstly discuss the economic convergence trend of APEC region and the trend of economic cluster in the region through Moran'I index as well as ? and ? convergence method of cross section data.Then,the convergence trend of APEC region is further verified by using the convergence spatial panel data model such as SAR,SEM and SDM,and the results of the three models are compared and analyzed.At last,the article mainly analyzes the economic and technological spillover effects generated by intra-regional FDI on regional economic convergence.According to empirical results,firstly,there was no spatial autocorrelation and convergence of the regional economy before the establishment of APEC.After the establishment,the APEC regional economy showed obvious spatial autocorrelation and convergence trend,and the club convergence trend is also obvious.Secondly,the SDM model has a comparative advantage over the actual convergence effect.Thirdly,A variety of economic factors affect the APEC regional economic convergence,in which the economic spillover effect of intra-regional FDI has a strong positive effect on the convergence trend.Fourthly,in terms of the decomposition results of effect from SDM model,the direct effect is positive and the indirect effect is negative,which indicates that the economic growth of the neighboring countries in the region will help the domestic economy grow at a greater rate,so there is a trend of economic convergence in APEC region.However,due to the relatively slow pace of convergence,it is necessary to take relevant policy measures to speed up the narrowing of the national economic gap.
