With the development of economy and society,China is facing increasingly serious environmental problem.Being the main source of the pollution,it is of great importance for corporate to enforce the management on environment and improve their environmental performance.The researches on the factors affecting the environmental performance mainly concentrate on laws,the scale of the corporate and the economic performance,and no articles discuss how leadership style and organizational ethical climate affect the environmental performance.Based on the background,this paper studies the environmental performance from the perspective of ethical leadership and organizational ethical climate,and takes the organizational ethical climate as the mediator variable to discover deeply the path how ethical leadership affects the environmental performance.On the basis of reviewing and analyzing the existing literature,according to the social study theory,informal institution theory and so on,the paper puts forward the research hypothesizes.Then I collect the data through questionnaire and do the exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis and study the relationship between the structures of hypothesis model.The conclusions are as follows:Firstly,the ethical leadership has positive effect on the environmental performance.Secondly,the ethical leadership has negative effect on the instrument ethical climate;the ethical leadership has positive effect on the caring ethical climate;the ethical leadership has positive effect on the laws and rules ethical climate.Thirdly,the instrument ethical climate has negative effect on the environmental performance;the caring ethical climate has positive effect on the environmental performance;the laws and rules ethical climate has positive effect on the environmental performance.Lastly,the instrument ethical climate,the caring ethical climate and the laws and rules ethical climate all play partial intermediary role in the effect of the ethical leadership on the environmental performance.In the end,based on the research conclusions,the paper proposes some target strategy from the leader and organizational ethical climate to help the corporate to strengthen the management on environment and improve their environmental performance. |
