Measurement And Analysis Of China's Consumption Inequality

With the continuous development of world economy,China keep up with the development of the world,in the 21 st century,China has made great achievements in every aspect of people’s living standards have greatly improved,the quality of life gradually improve,continuously improve medical facilities,nine-year compulsory education universal coverage.However,it is important to note that in the continuous development of economy in our country at the same time,again with imbalance of economic growth in our country.When the economic imbalances,many economists both at home and abroad are from income inequality in this aspect to study the cause of the economic inequality,of course,income inequality is one of the reasons that economic inequality,however,the cause of economic inequality has many aspects,such as: regional differences between itself,the big cities,including Beijing and Shanghai as opposed to some other cities,both in terms of education and science and technology does exist a lot of resources.In the study of economic inequality problem,is to use consumption inequality to explore economic inequality,consumption involves the value of the goods,and consumer products,which in turn is related to the amount of money,money has the number of disposable consumption associated with a person’s class,so different consumption levels reflect different class,class that is representative of social inequality.On the study of the inequality of consumption at the same time,we know:relative to income inequality influence on economic inequality,consumption more accurately measure the welfare level of a country,while consumption inequality can reflect differences in the levels of a welfare state.This paper combed the literature review at home and abroad,in the second chapter introduces the theory of consumption and consumption indexes,then the third chapter is the main content of the article,the empirical analysis,this paper explore cause consumption inequality,not just from this Angle to study the income inequality,this article from the region,education degree,with or without credit,and many other angles see the situation of the consumption inequality,in consumption inequality measure,USES the index is the consumption of the gini coefficient,gini coefficient between 0 and 1,is the international used to comprehensive investigation on residents income distribution difference condition is an important analysis indicators,here,we use gini coefficient to determine consumption differences.Finally,according to these factors that affect consumer to establish regression equation based on the decomposition of the regression equation to explore the cause of consumption inequality.The results show that the consumption are still high levels of inequality in our country at present,in the education of medical consumption inequality is higher in this respect,our country social welfare is not perfect enough,there is a big difference betweenregions.At the same time,from the perspective of regression equation decomposition,wealth is the main factors affecting China’s consumption inequality,followed by education,income is not the main factors influencing the consumption inequality.To solve these problems,puts forward the following Suggestions: first,strengthen equal supply help such as education,health care and to raise the nature of human capital of public goods is a feasible way to boost consumption equality.Second,increase the investment in the western region.Finally,improve the social welfare in our country,strengthen infrastructure construction,reduce the gap between urban and rural areas in our country,promote the economic development of our country.
