Archimedes has every said “Give me a place to stand on, and I will move the Earth”. In the case of business management, if we see a company as the earth and human resource as the place where I stand on. Who would be the lever? I think it must be performance management.Performance management, as one of human resource management skills, which provides evidences for all kinds of people and positions. It is a significant element for a successful company. A company can improve its productivity and competitiveness by using performance management. In addition, it can provide evidence for salary adjustment and position adjustment. Besides, performance management can also help employees to manage their own work easily and report their working contribution clearly.A successful performance management method can encourage employees to have a better performance. It will also make a company easier to manage oneself. It can give a better communication environment in between employees as well; therefore, it will help the whole organization/company to achieve their goals eventually.This article through analyzed the company distribution of human resource in company W. The method combined the existing problem of development strategy and Performance management in company W, using 360 degree assessment method and key performance indicators method to propose a new program for the potential improvement in 5 different ways which are performance indicator design, performance tutoring and communication, performance assessment,performance feedback and the application of performance result.At the same time retain the existing performance management scheme suitable for this enterprise characteristics.Hopefully, this article can give company W some useful suggestions in performance management method in the future. Furthermore, author wishes this article can also help similar company to develop their own methods by reading this article.
