Research On The Division Of Labor Of China In Asia Pacific Countries' Value Chain

Based on the different level of economic development and resource endowment,the scale of trade between the countries in the world is expanding and the trade is becoming more frequent than before.Asia Pacific region,as the fastest growing economy of the world,has formed a highly interdependent network of regional division of labor between the various economies.Although the core effect of China is becoming more and more obvious,many people are considered it's a country focus on labor intensive manufacturing industry.And what is the reality of the situation,whether China has made progress or not,this paper will make some related research.This paper based on the method of the World Input-output Table,using the WIOD database,to deconstruct the value chain of products of textile,electronic and information products,machinery products,transportation equipment products in the Asia Pacific countries(including Australia,Canada,America,Mexico,China,and Taiwan,Japan and South Korea,India,Indonesia),to analyse China's status and changes in major Asia Pacific countries in the value chain,and compared among different countries.In general,China and emerging market economies(Indonesia,Mexico),newly industrialized economies(South Korea and Taiwan)have close relations,the department of knowledge intensive products made greater contribution to these countries,but the knowledge technology intensive department of China in developed countries such as Japan,the United States occupied small proportion.There are still gaps and between China and developed countries,the division of labor of China still has space to improve.At the end of this paper,we give the government of China some specific suggestions.In addition to enhance their own core technical ability,should also strengthen trade cooperation between regions,put forward different countermeasures for different regions,and they focus on the contribution of knowledge intensive service department to the manufacturing industry.This study contributes to the understanding of China division status in the value chain of the major countries in the Asia Pacific region,integrate the value chain of the Asia Pacific countries with better status,and it also conducive to China industrial transformation and upgrading,to improve its position in the Asia Pacific countries in the value chain.
