Research On The Development Of Rural Tourism In Xianxi Town Of Yueqing City

With rapid but stable growth of the economy since China's reforming and opening-up policy,people lives in a better way and they are likely to choose trip to the rural as main recreation.Yueqing is speeding up to facilitate the construction of whole city,aiming at upgrade economic mode via developing green economy.And base government at all level are positively responding to it,which begin to seek for tourism model accordingly in great effort.With perfect natural scenes,Xianxi,one of the ecological towns of Yueqing,is planning to build a rural tourism resort in the guideline of “keep good environment as well benefit from it”.Consequently,there exists an urgent task that how to make fully advantages of Xian's natural resources and develop it into a travelling town.This essay focused on the meaning and background of rural tourism,based on numeral researches of rural tourism home and abroad,then came up with some suggestions for further development accordingly.When have decided to explore the rural tourism development,the author applied SWOT(strength,weakness,opportunity and threat)to analyze the situation in Xianxi,and some methods has been used such as field trip,detailed quantitative research etc.Research points as followed:1.Advantages of Xianxi itself: splendid natural environment and abundant tourism resources;highly importance attached to develop tourism by local government;2.Disadvantages: limited visitors(mainly from the local)as developed too late;Inadequate promotion;public facilities unfinished;weather conditions.3.Opportunities from outside: great development in rural tourism;government's great support;demand from visitors to travel to the rural area.4.Challenges: competing with the other similar tourism products;or with different ones.5.Based on analysis of Xianxi Rural tourists,some results can be drawn as followed:first,visitors are mainly from the local or the other towns of Yueqing city,minor are from the other cities;second,the author also investigated some other perspectives,including the tourists' occupation,accesses to information,means of travel and suggestions for public infrastructure,transportation and information service etc.6.Solutions: gaining more supports from the government,such as land policy and fiscal policy;Improving layout programming;developing its own style and reinforce the publicity;strength collaborative cooperation;...
