As a carrier of the tourism activities, tourist attractions are the core element of the tourism development, the different distribution characteristics on the space of which directly affects the development and integration of tourism resources, the choice of the tourism activities of tourists, the competition and cooperation relationship of the tourism regions, and the overall development level of the regional tourism industry. As a major type of the scenic areas, A-class scenic spots are widely approved in China, which have become the tourists' target market for their tourism activities to a large extent. Therefore,the study of the spatial structure of A-class scenic areas not only has important theoretical value, but also has great realistic instructive significance for promoting the tourism sustainable development.Based on the collection of the relevant information and data and the review and research of the spatial structure evolution model of the scenic areas, it is found that the evolution model of the scenic areas spatial structure is the initial stage appears dot distribution pattern, the development stage appears the polar nuclei to drive pattern, rapid development stage appears multicenter radiation pattern, the mature stage appears co-ordinated integration pattern. By analyzing the study on the fractal theory in the scenic spatial structure research, it is found that the research of which lacks of consideration for the levels and scales of the scenic spots , to this the article improves the fractal dimension calculation method of calclulating fractal dimension of the spatial structure of the A-class scenic spots in Hubei Province. The weight value of different grade A-class scenic spots is increased in the calculation. Hubei Province is divided into Wuhan Metropolitan Area and Western Hubei Eco-cultural Tourism Circle according to the Hubei province "two laps around" development strategy. And the spatial structure feature of A-class scenic spots is researched empirically by using the fractal theory, the research conclusions are as follows:(1) By interpreting the weighted aggregation dimension, weighted grid dimension and correlation dimension of A-class scenic spots in Hubei province, it is concluded that the scenic area spatial structure has fractal characteristics. From the point of weighted aggregation dimension, Wuhan Circle and the western Hubei Circle have significant fractal characteristics, both fractal dimensions in the areas show segmented differences,and present a complex three fractal structure, but the vibration frequency of the decay rate of the both scenic areas density is different; From the point of weighted grid dimension, the spatial distribution of the A-class scenic spots in Wuhan Circle and Western Hubei Circle is imbalanced, the spatial distribution patterns are different, but the balance degree of those two has regional difference; From the point of weighted correlation dirmensions, the absolute firmness of the spatial distribution of the A-class scenic spots in both Wuhan circle and western Hubei circle is not high the regional difference of which is large, the intimate level of the spatial association of which shows significant differences between east and west. According to the comprehensive interpretation of the fractal dimension of Wuhan Metropolitan Area and Western Hubei Eco-cultural Tourism Circle, it can be concluded that the spatial structure of A-class scenic spots in Hubei province is in the stage of multicenter radiation pattern, but development degrees of east and west are different; The spatial distribution of A-class scenic spots is uneven, close in the east and sparse in the west, multiply in the east and simple in the west; The A-class scenic spots tend to the overall characteristics of regional differentiation that they are distributed in line geographical elements, and the scenic area contact strength is strong in the east and weak in the west.(2) The article does a quantitative research on the natural geographical conditions,tourism resources endowment, social economic level, the level of tourism development and tourism transportation conditions and analyzes their impact on the scenic area spatial structure, finds that they are correlated reciprocally with the cluster degree of the spatial structure of the A-class scenic spots in Hubei province, the elevation gradient, and the tourist resources endowment, and are positively correlated with the social economic level,the development level of tourism , and the tourism traffic conditions.(3) Herein proposals on optimizing the spatial structure of the A-class scenic spots in Hubei province are proposed through analyzing the fractal features and influence factors of the A-class scenic spots in Hubei province, together with a collaborative integrated model for optimizing target, combined with the "One Three Five" Hubei province tourism development planning. The proposals of optimization include: giving full play to the two core scenic areas' radiation effect and making tourist distributing centers; Strengthening the integration and development of the tourism resource and forming the distinctive scenic area clusters; Strengthening tourism regional cooperation and achieving global linkage; Establishing the three-dimensional tourist traffic network of water, land, and air, etc.
