In recent years，tourism has been developing rapidly in China，and it has becamean important point of GDP growth．Since the1990s, more and more scholars hold thatspatial structure of tourism is one of the most crucial elements in attracting the tourists,and the significant part enhancing competitive force. Spatial structure of tourism playsa important role in tourists’ decisions of their destinations as well as their activities.To some extent，the competition between the tourist destinations is actually thecompetition between their spatial structure of tourism. Therefore，the selection of thespatial structure of tourism has always been the focus of the studies in the field oftourism.Since the competition in tourism market is fierce，every part of the countrypursue．The objectives for the development of tourism which are to optimize regionaltourism around the features，to enhance the competitiveness of regional tourism and toachieve sustainable development of regional tourism development．Spatial structure ofregional tourism，an important attribute of the tourism system，enormously restrictsthe functions of regional tourism．With the steadily intensified study in the regionaltourism，the research of spatial structure of the regional tourism has become a mainpart in regional tourism research．As the highway line to communicate the tourism spatialstructure, the development of scenic byway attracts more and more attention.Spatial structure of tourism means the elements in tourism geographic region andthe forms of the spatial distribution of the combination relations of the features in thespatial distribution is the tourism activities projection at the geographical space．Withbeautiful natural environment and age-old humanity history, Gannan State hasunlimited potential of development. The thesis started with basic concepts and systeminfo, based on relevant theoretical research, gave a analysis of the survey of tourismdevelopment and the influencing factors of tourism spatial structure in the GannanTibet Area and summarized the necessity and the feasibility of the development ofscenic byway in this area. And furthermore, in consideration of the tourismdevelopment potential and the regional development planning of Gannan State, itproposed the planning ideas, development orientation and specific countermeasures ofGannan State in order to offer beneficial proposals on optimizing the tourism spatialstructure and sustainable development of tourism in Gannan State.
