Research On Industrial Agglomeration And Industrial Competitiveness Improvement In Henan Province

With the increasing competition of the market,if a region want to get a long-term competitive advantage,not only rely on a few large enterprises,but also need more industrial clusters which are rooted in native culture.As a new-form industrial organization,industrial agglomeration has been paid more and more attention to its advantages from all walks of people.And with the geographical diversion of economics,industrial agglomeration has become a hot area of research.Promoting industrial agglomeration and cultivating industrial clusters have been an important direction of a region's economic construction and industrial distribution adjustment.At present,many areas of our country are actively exploring the mode of further development and reform in their industries,gathering their own advantages and resources,building regional growth pole,and relying on this platform to set up various industrial agglomeration areas to enhance the competitiveness of the industry.Conforming to this trend,Henan Province has put forward the strategy of building industrial agglomeration area and developing industrial agglomeration actively in late 2008.This paper studyed the effect of industrial agglomeration on the promotion of industrial competitiveness from the actual situation in Henan Province.In the empirical study,it was adopted the data of 31 above-scale manufacturing enterprises.At first,use the location entropy coefficient to identify whether the phenomenon of manufacturing industrial agglomeration is obvious in Henan Province.In order to avoid the annual data mutation of a single year,it was adopted the four-year data which is since the implementation of new industry standard in 2012 when calculating the location entropy coefficient and found that there was almost no change in the industry.Therefore,when the evaluation system of industrial agglomeration level and industrial competitiveness in Henan Province was constructed,selected 31 industries' cross-section data of the 2015 form manufacturing industry in Henan Province.In order to avoid the singularity of the indicators,first,calculate the concentration from seven directions of assets,technology,enterprises and other factors,and then use the principal component analysis to assign the weight of index.Finally,get the level of manufacturing industrial agglomeration in Henan Province.In the evaluation of the manufacturing industrial competitiveness in Henan Province,there were 21 indicators been selected from the three aspects of industrial scale,industrial efficiency and technological innovation ability to evaluate the score by principal component analysis.Then,based on the previous research of the level of industrial agglomeration and the level of industrial competitiveness in Henan Province,it is necessary to do the correlation analysis to find out which agglomeration factors will affect the industrial competitiveness.In the empirical analysis of industrial agglomeration effect on the industrial competitiveness,it adopted the panel data of above-scale manufacturing enterprises in Henan Province from 2012 to 2015.Though the unit root test,the Hausman test finally selected the fixed effect model to do the economic analysis.In the process of researching the industrial agglomeration and industrial competitiveness of Henan Province,it was found that the current industrial agglomeration is well developed and the structural quality is steadily increasing,but there are still a lot of problems.It's on a low-level development generally,high planning,late start,low level,lacking competitiveness and other issues are very serious.And seen from the evaluation results of the industrial competitiveness,the top-ranked are mainly by resource-intensive or labor-intensive industries.The ranks of capital-intensive and technology-intensive industries are very low.In the empirical analysis of them,it was also found that industrial agglomeration effect can indeed greatly enhance the competitiveness of the industry in Henan Province,but the industrial scale is the strongest influence factor in the promotion of industrial competitiveness,industrial efficiency and technological innovation are relatively weak,It is mainly because with the development of industrial agglomeration in Henan Province,there are many problems making the competitive advantage of industry in the market merely founded on the factors of low cost and large-scale production,lack of high-grade,high-precision and advanced upstream industry chain.Therefore,on the basis of quantitative analysis and empirical analysis,this paper combined with the existing problems in the development of industrial agglomeration in Henan Province and put forward that Henan Province should pay more attention to cultivating industrial chain in the future,encouraging scientific and technological innovation,optimizing the industrial structure and identifying industry positioning of the agglomeration area and other proposals.It is aimed to through the continuous development of industrial agglomeration,promote the continuous upgrading of industrial competitiveness in Henan Province.
