With the development of economy,business startups has been an important part in social activities.University students with advanced education attract tremendous attention in the business startups.Researching on university students innovative undertaking not only contributes to further enriching the entrepreneurship theory,but also has profound guiding significance for the university students in the actual business startups.In the process of university students' entrepreneurship,different entrepreneurial motivations lead to various entrepreneurial behaviors,and ultimately affect the entrepreneurial performance.This paper explains the university students' entrepreneurial motivations,and explores the impacts on social network and entrepreneurial performance mechanism caused by the different entrepreneurial motivations.Based on the previous research,this paper builds the theoretical model through the motivational theory,the system principle,the Porter&Lawler incentive model and the Timmons entrepreneurial process model,and puts forward the hypothesis.This paper draws up a questionnaire according to research background and participants,then it carries out a survey by means of online and offline at the university students innovative undertaking zone.Through the analysis conducted by the spss 22.0,conclusions are drawn as following: 1)Entrepreneurial motivations pose positive impacts on social network.The survival motivation has a significant effect on the network intensity and heterogeneity,and the achievement motivation pose a profound impact on the network intensity,centrality and heterogeneity.2)Entrepreneur social network has positive effects on the entrepreneurial performance,especially the network heterogeneity plays the most important role.3)Achievement motivation poses a positive impact on entrepreneurial performance,while the survival motivation plays little role.4)Social network acts as a mediator between the achievement motivation and entrepreneurial performance.Compared with the previous research,this paper's innovation and contribution can be drawn as following: this paper not only studies the influence of entrepreneurial motivation on social network in the process of university students' entrepreneurship,but also distinguishes the entrepreneurial motivations' impacts on social network.Meanwhile,through studying the effect of social network on entrepreneurial performance,it builds a influencing mechanism model between entrepreneurial motivations and entrepreneurial performance,which takes the social network as a mediator.This paper's practical significance for university students start-ups can be drawn as following: start-ups should establish a long-range goal to drive entrepreneurs' achievement motivation,instead of being satisfied due to some temporary profits.Meanwhile,university students start-ups should actively build and optimize their own social network in terms of network intensity,centrality and heterogeneity.In addition,they should attach great importance to strengthening their own network heterogeneity so as to enrich their entrepreneurial resources.Furthermore,the start-ups should pay more attention to the social network.Because not every social network poses a positive impact on entrepreneurial performance.
