Research On Enterprise Performance Evaluation Based On EVA Index

Coal industry is the traditional pillar industry leading the growth of our country's economic growth.Because of drastic fluctuations in the macroeconomics and the affection of polices in recent years,the low coal demand causes the decrease of coal price which result in the slow growth of coal industry.Even in this situation,there are still many coal industries guide their development according to traditional performance evaluation method.So it's urgent to change this kind of old development mode.It is of vital importance that economic added value to evaluate the coal industries' operation performance.And this method will let the managers to have a better understanding of the industry and make more efficient measures to increase the corporation's value and competitiveness.EVA can not only overcome the disadvantages of traditional performance evaluation method but also reflect the true wealth made by the coal industry after take the opportunity cost into consideration.This superiority is widely recognized by global large company.In the meanwhile,the related ministries in our country also require all the industries to use EVA to evaluate their economic performance.This method will prevent the enterprise's manipulating related profits and short-term bad behaviors.And EVA will also help the reservation and growth of state-owned assets.Based on this situation,this paper did a deep research in EVA performance evaluation theory according to features of coal industries.This paper chooses coal company S as key case to show a detailed analysis.From the financial data of company S,we adjusted partial accounting programs,calculated detailed EVA,and make a detailed comparison with traditional evaluation method.The purpose of this paper is to find out the weakness in the growth of company S,to provide valid measures for improving the business performance,to help create more values and find out the appropriate economic development method.
