Study On The Influence Of Intellectual Property On Chinese Wood-processing Industry's International Competitiveness

As a typical labor-intensive,China's wood-processing industry is in the crucial phase of international competition strategic choice.The report of the 18th Party Congress pointed out that it should carry out the innovating sustained strategy to drive the transformation and upgrading of industry structure,and form the the international competitiveness relying on the innovative advantage.Intellectual property rights are the source of promoting technological development and exciting technology innovation.Whether is the key factors of affecting the international competitiveness of China's wood-processing industry?Whether the intellectual property rights can provide new path for international competitiveness of China's wood-processing industry?Therefore,it needs urgently to study the relationship between intellectual property rights and the international competitiveness of China's timber processing industry.But the research of them is less.Therefore,the research conclusion of this paper is helpful to reveal the influence rule of the intellectual property rights and international competitiveness of China's wood-processing industry.,and provide good decision-making reference for the strategy and industrial upgrading about China's wood-processing industry under the new economic situation.Firstly,from intellectual property rights and wood-processing industry as a research starting point,this study combes systematically the related concepts and theories,and introduces as the basis of theoretical analysis.Secondly,based on theory frame of the diamond model,it analyzes the mechanism of the intellectual property of wood-processing industry.Then it selects the intellectual property rights as the explaining variable,which influences international competitiveness wood-processing industry,and selects labor resources endowment coefficient,per capita GDP,international competitiveness of wooden furniture manufacturing industry and the official exchange rate as control variable.Selecting the data of 20 countries in 12 years as sample,the paper choose Trade Competitiveness Index,Revealed Comparative Advantage Index and international market proportion as the indicators to estimate the international competitiveness of wood-processing industry.Thirdly,using the entropy weight method,it measures comprehensively the international competitiveness level of wood-processing industry about China,Canada,Germany and other 20 wood-processing products exporters from2000 to 2011.And it makes the descriptive statistical analysis of international competitiveness of wood-processing industry.Based on the analysis,the empirical investigation was done to analyze the impact of the intellectual property rights to international competitiveness of wood-processing industry using the Panel-Data model.Lastly,this paper proposes the policy recommendations and further research prospects by combing theoretical and empirical analysis.The main conclusion of this research includes:Intellectual property rights has remarkable effect for the promotion of international competitiveness of China's wood-processing industry.Labor resources endowment coefficient,per capita GDP and international competitiveness of wooden furniture manufacturing industry have positive correlation to ascend for international competitiveness of wood-processing industry.While the increasing of official exchange rate has inhibition for international competitiveness of wood-processing industry.The final conclusion shows that the intellectual property rights is important to drive international competitiveness od the wood-processing industry for further improving.
