A Research On Graduate Education's Scale Expansion Effects On The Economic Growth

As an important part of higher education in China,graduate education is a difficult task to cultivate high-level talents for China's economic construction.Since 1999,the scale of graduate students in China has been a leap-forward development,at the same time,China's overall economy is also developing rapidly.The expansion of the scale of graduate education is complementary to the national economic construction.The country has always linked the development of education with the economic and social development,and jointly promotes the development of each other.Talents play an increasingly important role in today's society.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the impact of the expansion of postgraduate education on economic growth and to the development of social economy or the development of graduate education.In this paper,the theory of endogenous economic growth and human capital theory as a theoretical guide to explore the scale of graduate education on economic growth.Firstly,it expounds the theoretical mechanism of the impact of the expansion of graduate education on the economic growth.Then,it makes a descriptive statistical analysis on the scale of the development of postgraduate education and the economic growth.Then,it analyzes the growth of the postgraduate education in our country.Draw conclusions and give policy recommendations.The empirical results show that there is a long-term equilibrium relationship between the scale of graduate education and China's economic growth.The expansion of graduate education in the long run can promote economic growth.(1)From the national overall level: China's graduate education and China's GDP there is a long-term equilibrium between the relationships.Granger causality test results show that the scale of graduate education in China is the cause of economic growth Granger reasons,with the expansion of China's graduate education scale,China's economic growth by the impact of human capital will be more significant.(2)From the three major industrial aspects: the scale of graduate education in China and the three major industrial economic growth there is a long-term equilibrium relationship,especially for the impact of the tertiary industry,the largest elastic coefficient.The innovation of this paper is to use the time series model,the use of China's postgraduate education scale data from 1996 to 2015 and the relevant statistical data of China's gross domestic product and the gross domestic product of China's first,second and tertiary industries from 1996 to 2015 of the relevant statistical data,from the overall and part of the two levels to empirical study of China's graduate education scale expansion on the impact of economic growth.
