| As a well-known tourist destination, Enshi has lots of unique tourism resources. Its tourism is developing rapidly, and it has become the engine industry and pillar industry of Enshi economic. However, tourism development is not balanced in every counties, and the overall effectiveness of tourism destination is not prominent. The scientific rationality of tourism destination spatial structure is an important cornerstone of the overall effectiveness in tourism destination. Therefore, the study focuses on the spatial structure of tourism destination in Enshi.Based on the software, such as GIS and Ucinet, and related methods, the study analyzes the three main elements of spatial structure: tourist attraction, tourism town and tourism transport in Enshi tourism destination system. On this basis, the interaction mechanisms of spatial elements’ structure are further discussed. Then the principles of constructing the spatial structure in Enshi tourism destination are established accordingly.Finally, its spatial structure is constructed and optimized. The main conclusions of this study include:1. The spatial structure of Enshi tourist attraction: It has the development trend of banded cohesion; It’s compact and unbalanced. The center nodes develop insufficiently and need to be optimized. There are four attraction groups: the one taking Enshi City as the center, the one of Lichuan County, the one of Batong County, and the one of Hefeng County. The Hefeng attraction Group is separated from the rest of the other groups, and its spatial interaction with other attraction groups was poor.2. The spatial structure of Enshi tourism town: Enshi city is gathering-radiation center in Enshi and the bridge for interactive tourist flows between other towns. The five towns of Jianshi, Badong, Hefeng, Xianfeng, Laifng belong to inferior nodes, and they are in isolated positions in the network. The core-periphery structure of Enshi tourism town is obvious. Enshi and Lichuan constitute the core area. The driving roll of core area to periphery area is remarkable. The tourist flows between members of periphery area is less and unsmooth. Enshi tourism town network has low density.3. The spatial structure of Enshi tourism traffic: Traffic advantage value decreased from Enshi to the surrounding counties. Enshi city has the best traffic advantage traffic,and Hefeng County is the lowest one. There is a long-time distance between the tourist attractions, and the overall accessibility is poor; The accessibility gap is obvious.4. The interaction mechanism of spatial elements: For Enshi, a tourism destination with poor traffic conditions, the tourist traffic is the main factor affecting the spatial structure. To a certain extent, the traffic trunk determines the spatial distribution of tourism attractions, and is the important factor restricting the development of the tourist town network. It limits the development of the inferior nodes. The centrality of tourism town nodes is positively correlated with the distribution of tourist attractions, and they have strong spatial coupling.5. Constructing the spatial structure should follow three principles in Enshi tourism destination: Adapt to the development direction of traffic network construction; Grouping tourism services to the central towns; Realizing the large-scale of attraction groups and taking the key attractions as the core. Based on them, the spatial structure with one core,three axis and four groups is constructed in Enshi tourism destination, and five optimization strategies are put forward. |
