Study On The Efficiency Of Regional Economic Growth In China

At present,China’s economic development has entered a new normal,and this is a period of the outburst of contradiction and the deep adjustment of the interests pattern.On the basis of maintaining the stability of China’s economy,the growth rate has slowed down,while facing many difficulties and challenges,especially structural overcapacity and low economic efficiency issues are highlighted.With the continuous development of economy,the pressure on resources and environment is more and more severe,people should pay more attention to improving the quality of development and the efficiency of input and output while maintaining a certain economic growth rate.According to the current economic situation in china,accurately measure the efficiency of the economic growth of all provinces in China,and analyze the main factors affecting the improvement of efficiency,find out the existing problems in the economic growth of each province,and put forward some policy suggestions to narrow the economic efficiency gap between provinces in china,there has important theoretical and practical significance to realize the coordinated development of the economy.First of all,this paper makes a concrete analysis of the basic situation and the differences between the eastern,central and western regions in the economic development of China,to further understand the current situation of China’s economic developmentSecondly,this paper selects the number of employed population,fixed assets investment as input indicators,GDP,local fiscal budget revenue,total retail consumption as the output index,Data envelopment analysis(DEA)was used to measure the technical efficiency,scale efficiency,X-efficiency and allocative efficiency of 31 provinces(cities)in China from 2008 to 2015.At the same time,this paper makes a detailed analysis of four kinds of efficiency in the eastern,central and western regions.Thirdly,according to the four kinds of efficiency calculation results,four kinds of efficiency as explanatory variables,selected the degree of financial deepening and economic openness,foreign direct investment,R&D investment,the degree of marketization,the overall labor productivity as explanatory variables,the model of influencing economic efficiency is constructed by using panel data multiple regression method,and the main factors that affect the economic efficiency of each province has been analyzed.The empirical results show that the effects of each factor on the eastern,central and western four kinds of efficiency are different.Finally,according to the results of the above analysis,the relevant policy suggestions are proposed for the improvement of China’s regional economic efficiency and economic growth.
