A Research On The Concise Poverty Alleviation Through Toursim In The Poor Villages And Tribles Of The Ethnic Groups

During the recent years,activities of concise poverty alleviation have been undergoing throughout the country.And poverty alleviation through tourism is also one of the most important methods to implement poverty alleviation in the mountain areas of ethnic groups.Meanwhile,the academia also has done lots of theoretical research on poverty alleviation through tourism.Scholars have been devoting themselves to discovering and exploring the potential and capabilities for tourism industries to eliminate poverty problems and putting tourism industries as the head to motivate poor areas and economic development-lacked areas to get rid of poverty hence to step forward into a wealthy state.While tourism development is pushing forward the regional economic development,does it necessarily work out to help poor alleviation?In many poverty-stricken rural areas of ethnic groups,though poverty alleviation through tourism has been valued with distinct effects in some place where local governments take active measures,many cannot-be-neglected problems also show up in the practice of poverty alleviation through tourism such as waste of poverty alleviation resources,poor effects,collision against traditional culture,ecological environment damages and so on.This thesis is based on the case study on a pilot village supported by national poverty alleviation through tourism policy---Ping Dao Village,Jin Xiu Yao Autonomous County,Guangxi.The author conducted a long-term field research on this village under the view of relevant theories on poverty alleviation through tourism and with a starting point from the current situation of local poverty alleviation through tourism,together with interviews and observation as main methods and poor residents as highlighted research respondents.This thesis aims at finding problems hence to come out with relative strategies to solve the problems.Based on the theories established by predecessors on 'poverty alleviation through tourism',the author puts forward suggestions for the concise poverty alleviation through tourism according to the real situation of the local village.This thesis consists of four parts.Part one is the introduction,which reviews the research process of problems such as poverty alleviation through tourism,concise poverty alleviation through tourism,poverty alleviation through tourism on ethnic groups' villages and tribes and introduce the chosen-topic's background,its significance and research methods.In part two,the author makes definition and analysis on the relevant conceptions and states relevant theories' basis concerned with poverty alleviation through tourism,such as theories on concise poverty alleviation through tourism,theory of multiplier,theories on sustainable development,stakeholder theory and so on.Part three starts from chapter three to chapter five.The author takes Ping Dao Village as a case study and analyzes on the basic condition of implementing poverty alleviation through tourism such as social economic resources and tourism resources.Then the author draws a conclusion on the practice of its poverty alleviation through tourism and points out the current situation and existing problems of the poverty alleviation through tourism in Ping Dao Village.The existing problems,generally speaking,can be divided into two levels respectively are level on tourism development and level on poor residents,participation.With the combination of predecessors' research basis and specific existing problems in the local village,the author puts forward the guiding principles for the local poverty alleviation through tourism and five suggestions.Part four focuses on the research conclusion and outlooks.Based on the researches in the first three parts,the author shares his own research conclusion and its limits and makes an outlook on the researches in the near future.
