A Quantitative Study Of The Interaction Between Chinese Residents' Lottery Purchase And Consumption Structure

According to Lottery Management Regulations: The purpose of the national lottery is to raise public funds to finance welfare,sports,and other public development.However,there is enhance the viewing angle issue of social welfare effects of various aspects,but also difficult to measure and quantify the lottery benefit to society.This paper is based on panel data of 31 provinces(provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions)in mainland China from 2000 to 2015,From a national perspective,the perspective of urban and rural areas as well as the angle of each of the administrative regions were established panel data model of interaction between the various types of lottery sales and household consumption per capita.In the process of establishing the model,the fixed effect model,the random effect model and the mixed effect model are tested respectively.Different models are selected according to the test results in different analysis angles.Concluded as follow:From the perspective of the consumption structure,on a nationwide basis,according to the analysis of Chapter 4 of the article,found that lottery issuance can indeed improve the consumption structure of residents.From the perspective of urban residents,according to the results of the analysis of Section 5.1 of this article,the issue of lottery tickets did play a role in improving the consumption structure.However,from the perspective of rural residents,from the analysis of the results of Section 5.2,the issue of lottery cannot significantly improve the consumption structure of rural residents.Judging from the division of administrative regions in the whole country,the economic development in East China is generally ahead of other regions of the country,and its income level and consumption structure are obviously superior to other regions in the country.Therefore,from the East China region,the issue of lottery for its resident's consumption structure has improved significantly,thus effectively increasing the social welfare,for the economically underdeveloped areas such as the southwest,the issue of lottery tickets cannot effectively improve its consumption structure,so as not to increase the effect of social welfare.
