Energy is the material basis of human activities,and its development is faced with the dual pressures to meet the needs of economic and social development as well as to reduce environmental pollution.Construction industry is a pillar industry,but also a high energy consuming industries.It is an important field of energy saving and consumption reduction.Because of the significant differences in the geographical location and economic development,it is a prerequisite for the reasonable development of energy conservation targets to accurately measure the energy efficiency of the construction industry.The key factors and the mechanism of the energy efficiency of the construction industry are the basis for the development of effective energy saving measures.In this paper,the construction industry as the research object,introduced the framework of total factor analysis of energy efficiency.This paper constructs the evaluation index system of energy efficiency in the construction industry,which takes energy,capital,labor,building materials and mechanical equipment as input factors,and the total output value as the output factor.The panel data of 30 provinces from 2004 to2013 Chinese based on DEA-Malmquist index was used to calculate the energy efficiency,and explores its temporal evolution,regional differentiation characteristics and dynamic evolution,and the construction industry convergence test for energy efficiency.On this basis,through theoretical analysis and literature analysis extracted 7 factors,Tobit regression models were used to analyze the influence of various factors on the energy efficiency of construction industry,the specific reasons for the more in-depth grasp of the impact of energy efficiency.The research shows that technical efficiency is the main source of energy efficiency,and the low technological progress has become the main constraint of energy efficiency improvement.During the period of 2004-2013,the annual growth rate of China's building energy efficiency was-2.0%,among which the rate of technological innovation was 10.8%,and the relative technical efficiency was-11.5%.There are great differences in energy efficiency of construction industry in different regions.The average annual growth rate of total factor energy efficiency in the eastern,central and western regions is-4.6%,-0.1%and 0%.Convergence test results show that the energy efficiency of construction industry does not exist China alpha convergence and conditional convergence significantly,but there is a significant gap between the absolute convergence,regional energy efficiency China construction industry is gradually narrowing,eventually converge to the same steady equilibrium level.The eastern region is the existence of alpha convergence,at the same time there is an absolute beta convergence,the eastern region of the province's construction industry energy efficiency gap is gradually reduced,and finally reached a stable state.There is no convergence in the central region,the western region has the condition of beta convergence,with its own stable state.Study on the influencing factors of energy efficiency of construction industry shows that the effect of China energy efficiency of construction industry are the main factors of industrial development,industrial concentration,the construction industry market level,technology level and population,the level of industrial development is the biggest key factors of energy efficiency of construction industry Chinese.
