The Chinese-Pakistan Trade Development Research Under The Background Of The Belt And Road Initiative

Under the impetus of the close relationship between China and Pakistan in the field of politics and diplomacy,the trade between China and Pakistan is also moving forward.The free trade agreement,which was formally implemented in July 1,2007,has played a positive role in promoting the development of trade between China and Pakistan.However,China and Pakistan,the political hot economic cold situation has not changed."The Belt and Road" strategy in Pakistan by domestic infrastructure construction and energy development of Pakistan national economy,and have an important influence on the trade between China and pakistan.Therefore,in the "The Belt and Road" under the background of trade development China and Pakistan has very important significance.This paper first introduces the progress of the "The Belt and Road national strategy and project.Secondly,this paper reviews the history of the development of Sino Pakistani trade,and analyzes the current situation of China's trade scale,trade structure and so on since twenty-first Century.Again,this paper uses the trade competitiveness index(TC index)analysis of trade competition of China Brazil commodities,the intra industry trade index(IIT index)and trade integration index(TCD index)of nineteen commodities on Chinese and Pakistan trade complementary analysis.The results show that there are complementarities between China and Pakistan in the trade of many commodities.On the whole,China and Pakistan trade complementarity is very strong.In the twenty-two categories of goods merchandise trade in goods more competitive in five categories:textile raw materials and products,food and beverage and tobacco,leather products and plant products,base metals and products etc..China and Pakistan in plant products,food and beverage and tobacco,textile raw materials and products of the competition belong to different product competition in the same industry,is not strong and competitive performance.And leather goods and base metals and products in the proportion of Sino Pakistani trade is very low.Therefore,the competitiveness of China and Pakistan trade is weak.Overall,the vast majority of trade between China and Pakistan are complementary,and the proportion of the larger,showing the characteristics of intra industry trade,but the degree of intra industry trade is low.Therefore,it is concluded that the complementarity between China and Pakistan is far greater than that of competition.Finally,analyze the existing problems in the development of bilateral trade and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions in the "The Belt and Road background.
