Hitachi’s Auto parts business started from the localization of auto electric parts in 1930.After development of several decades,Hitachi absorbed and merged TOKIO and UNISHIA in 2004.In order to speed up the operation,auto-parts division separated from Hitachi Co.,Ltd.and became one independent organization which focuses on business of auto parts industry since July 2009.Hitachi Automotive Systems was founded in 2009,and owns 39,700 employees in total with turnover of 1001.1 billion JPY in 2015.It has 9 factories in America,5 factories in Europe,6 factories in Southeast Asia and 10 factories in China.Hitachi Automotive Systems Group is origin from Hitachi motor parts and two other companies in the same industry acquisited by Hitachi.Three companies before combination have different subsidiaries in America,Europe and Asia(including China and Southeast Asia).Three companies and their subsidiaries also have different quality management system.We called this strange phenomenon as one country with three systems.For some oversea subsidiaries,it even needs three processes for same product supplied to three companies.Although at the beginning stage of set up of group,quality department of group already defined essentials for all companies and subsidiaries.However,the essentials didn’t define specific requirements for different process and responsibility.The implementation was not good,and leads to the communication barriers in different subsidiaries,which is a great waste for the resources and management of group.To merge the resources of different companies and subsidiaries,Hitachi Automotive Systems Group made the development strategy of “We Are One”.With the strategy of “We Are One”,group combines the culture and management systems of different companies.Under this background,group quality department merges the quality management systems of subsidiaries,and optimize SASG(Standards for Hitachi Automotive Systems for Global use)with the old essentials.Comparing the standards of three companies,to creat SASG based on the best parts of different standards.The implementation of subsidiaries for the group standards is different,which is against with the brand building of Hitachi.Therefore,how to optimize the global quality management system and to achive below targets,it becomes urgent.(1)Optimize the mechanism of synchronous design and development(2)Optimize the mechanism of preventing past failures.(3)Optimize the culture of "We Are One" for quality assurance.Through optimizing Group’s Global quality management system,especially integrated with current IT technology,to improve the operation efficiency and result of group quality system,in order to assure quality of final product and improvement of customer satisfaction.In the time of industry 4.0,establish a foundation for the future development and stragtegy implementation of group.
